This is absolutely amazing... though she is actually 7, not three. Three years old was probably put there to attract more viewers :P

However, in my years of playing, I've seen tons of musicians of many ages do all sorts of things as they play, but not a single one of them actually smiles when they play. You concentrate as you play.

And DEFINITELY not abuse. Even if you're introduced to it at a very young age, you learn to love the instrument anyway. Better the violin than video games.

@michaeljwjr It's a different culture with different expectations for performers. It's likely considered improper to be grinning/smiling while preforming. Her eyes were closed, so she was definitely "in" the music. Many musicians have a neutral expression, especially when concentrating on a difficult piece. Notice how the pianist isn't grinning like an idiot either? Would you say she's being abused? Don't toss around the "abuse" card when you don't know anything beyond this video.
