Anybody know where i can watch this?? I watch this on tv about 12-13 years ago but only episodes here and there and its really v nice even though its meant for girls...

I remember this. Even though this was "a girl's show" I thought it was a great late 90's anime! That is about the point were the anime industry hit its peak, ever since the new millennium hit, its seems the anime industry reuses the same old plotlines and cliches.

A friend of mine gave me the VHS copies of this and I watched them marathon style over a few nights. I don't remember what I was going through but I REALLY connected with this series. The music was great. I really hated how it ended (or DIDN'T end rather).

@Tekknight007 Hated that end, as well, especially when I found out it covered roughly half the manga. I couldn't afford to buy 21 volumes for like $10 each, and the cheapest I usually found them on eBay for was like $140-$150. Hastings had them on sale on their website for $1.40 each, so I managed to snag the first 18 volumes. I'm reading volume 10 or 11 right now, just past the anime. We missed so, so damn much.12 years later, I'm finally finishing Kare Kano. Damn Gainax...

This show is comprised of 26 eps., that only spans the first half of the story in the manga. Actually, his and her circumstances referes to her vision and his vision about their relationship; the TV show only shows her part of the story

This is the best shoujo I ever seen!! is funny, sad, dramatic... but at the end... OMG, that really was frustrating.. terrible, first they (anime creators) lift us and then let us fall (was a long fall T.T)

anyway, I started to read manga and was better than anime, Their circumstances are things that really happen... but is truth, manga was darker and darker through pages...

The only problem with this anime is that they released it too early. Within the last 7 episodes it was given such a low budget that it was forced to make the episodes in Popsicle stick form, black and white, and cartoon stills to explain the whole episodes. They should have waited until she was finished (which was like 2005). Also the manga is messed up too because the first half is great and then the second half gets dark as hell and not so humorous and entertaining.

Well the anime's ending is bad because like I said the budget got low and they used pretty bad animation in some episodes. Plus when they got to episode 26 the anime had caught up with the manga and they just ended it (besides it took 7 more years for the manga to finish)

The manga was funny, lighthearted and romantic until book 13ish. It got strange and dark (basically Arima's parents come back) and all the happiness is gone for pretty much the rest of the books. I won't spoil it though.
