People all over the world do this successfully most of the time and it's not illegal. Just search Asia + traffic or something like that...well almost any country except here. It's so restricted here. Say in Atlanta, for example, you will get a ticket and/or get smeared on the pavement because the cars constantly change lanes.

I just ride the far right, only gotta worry about a guy to ur left riding the right line and enough room to get past them, I may be a few inches to the rail sometimes but its much safer than splitting 2 open lanes, especially the fast left ones with idiot drivers.

I lane split in Manhattan riding my road bike (bicycle) allll the time, but I admit, I haven't had the balls to do it on my motorcycle. Cool vid man. Ride safe.

It's a nice bike and I just looked at the color schemes and you are right they are pretty bad. I do always like the Kawa green. But it is difficult to match your clothes to that.

I saw the color on the Z750 which I was considering a while back. Amazing color but very difficult in a few ways. I like white the most with red. That was the color of my old R6. Really bright and noticeable. Black can be really awesome as well but can also be boring. Never saw silver on a bike

Oh weird I am 5"10 and I don't have any problems on the R6. Does needs to get used to. First few days riding a little sore hands and upper back. Now I ride hours without any problems.

How tall are you? I have to say a R6 is weird in that way. The seat is pretty high off the ground so you can't be short. But you can't be too tall either or it is really uncomfortable.

I crashed my R6 about 2-3 weeks ago and I am going to get a new one but its difficult to find the one I want:(

i had my camera on for 4 hrs and i barely found the time to talk cause it's just nerve wrecking to ride here....late splitting made me nervous...and the pot holes scared me since they made me drop my bike in march...i'm just extra cautious

@jorgecornet nah i live in Long Island and i dont have a bike right now, hoping to get one this summer after im done with these finals. When that happens then sure. What you recommend for beginner was thinking the 250 but the R6 caught my eye.

250 is great for beginning but the r6 is much heavier and the seat sucks...and your legs just feels weird on it...the cbr 600 is lighter and way more comfortable...unless you have traffic or very clear roads i don't think you need an 600 here...the 250 is plenty

If you lane split in the UK always give a wave to any cager that moves over, the more you do that the more the cagers notice and they'll let you through more often.

There is no law for filtering (as we call it over here) so it's legal unless you're being stupid about it, even the police will move over for you.

@bendover90 Like I said filtering is only tolerated if the traffic is very slow or stationary and you would be maybe 10-20 mph above their speed. When I used to commute to London bikes would regularly filter at 70 mph plus, which is frankly suicidal.

it is also illegal in new york....its just accepted in various parts of the city..since there is no real organized traffic enforcement...people just go wherever

i can tell this is your not used to lane splitting just make sure your rpms are high enough where you can punch it so that way you can get out of a tight spot. and look at this way new york is a big city so the people you pass or piss off you probley wont see agen. but good video i injoyed it.
