JAS 39 Gripen Max sustained turn rate: 20 dg/s

The actual EuroFighter actual sustained is not listed by the MOD, though there is a lot speculation, and plenty of BS numbers around the net.

As for the F16 not being able to sustain 9g, that is pure bull. It is all about wing-loading and thrust to weight, and the F16 has done it, many times in real-life. Is it safe to sustain that much for so long...no.

i'd like to see a video of an f-16 pilot sustaining 9g for more than a second or two.

sustained means for an extended length of time so a couple of seconds doesn't qualify as sustained.

thats why you'll never find a video of an f-16 pilot performing a 360 degree sustained 9g turn, the pilot couldnt take it. the eurofighter pilot can only handle sustained 9g cus of the specially designed suit for that aircraft.

yeah ive seen that before, its a centrifuge not an f-16, some pilots, well people can take incredible amounts of g's, some flake at 7g and dont make it. i said an f-16 pilot meaning in his aircraft, you wont cus of software limitations on the aircraft. that guy was seriously under stress, thats unsafe flying conditions, a pilot needs to be under control not at the edge of conciousness, thats why the limits are in place. in reality sustained 9g is unsafe as you saw in the centrifuge

sustained indeffinately means as long as it takes, that pilot wouldnt have lasted 30seconds whilst being in total control of his aircraft. redbull air race pilots do 11+ g's for sgharp turns, it depends on the individual how they take the g load but when it comes to sustained its unsafe so fighter aircraft are limited. theres a vid of a centrifuge hitting 10g with the pilots eyes bulging, he didnt black but it wasnt safe flying conditions. centrifuges dont explode when pilots black.

its also for limited for safety of the aircraft, they're built to withstand a certain amount of stress. the eurofighter was built to exceed previous limits, thats why it can sustain 9g indeffinately. to make it safe to fly a g suit had to be designed for the pilot to handle it. 9g is an incredible force that not many can take and none can safely whilst remaining in total control, thats why the eurofighter g suit was designed. show me an f-16 sustaining 9g like i asked.

research the typhoon, with the flightsuit created especially for that aircraft the aircraft and pilot can sustain 9g indeffinately.

other aircraft, f16, f15, f18 etc can hit 9g but its only for a second or two max.

so yeah basically you're right when you said "sustain" 9g, without a flightsuit like used with the eurofighter the pilot wouldnt last long at a sustained 9g but can hit it for short quick bursts.
