I had an arthroscopy about 20 years ago, done in day surgery, I had a bad reaction to the anaesthetic, I was on max dose of pain killers, 12 months later still on crutches, physio and pain killers, 20 years later I now have osteoarthritis in my left knee joint, I also have it in my left and right hips and right knee. I'm now on strong pain killers and walk with either crutches or walking frame, I know that in the near future that I'm going to have to have more surgery
i was injured during a latin dance workshop in June 2010 and the doctor diagnosed that I had "Chondromalacia of the patella" (after having an MRI) so the treatment he suggested for this particular case was Arthroscopy (to soothen out a piece of cartilage that was sticking out inside my knee). The surgery, over-night stay and anesthisiologist cost approx. 3,000 euros

why did you have to go thru surgery, how did you get injured, and how much did you pay for all of that?
