I agree with the "what works for me" ethos. I prefer using OSX, and I like most of Apples products. They are more expensive, but worth it if you prefer OSX.

I can only speak for myself, but on mac I forget that I'm using a computer, I can focus on my work only. In Windows or Linux I constantly remember that I'm using a computer because of the many fixes I have to do to make things work.
My first operating system was msdos 3.x, I tried all windows versions and many Linux versions since 1996.
Linux is what I use on my servers, a bunch of them in a datacenter.
If tomorrow there's another OS that convince me, I'll try that.
