  • yeah this just shows the r6 rider trying to make a pass and running out of road. Cool vid

  • that was looking like a old ass suzuki

  • Nope,it was a friend on a 2001 R6...

  • its all about the torque man!!

  • well that has settled my mind in which is better... lol

  • cool but only 10 seconds?!?!?!

  • yeh but power means nothing its areo dinamicks and all the modern shit its exactly the same as racing a 180 yz250 with a 2008 yz250 no power difference but thats about all thats not different!

  • lol "areo dinamicks" holy shit..

  • correct spelling: dyenahmihcks

  • wtf... i bet if u put that duke off a line on a proper track gaisnt a r6.. the r6 wud giv the ktm a royal ass whooping... it seems unbelievablethe shit ppl are saying here, how can a 177kg 55hp duke, which has been desgined by a bunch of austrian monkeys (not a racing bike) beat a 160 kg 130 hp superbike, designed for track by the best engineers in japan! People, i suggest, u guys start using ur common sense!

  • How about you learn to spell properly? You seem to know nothing about riding dynamics. A bike like the Duke has awesome handling due to its low weight (177 kg is the weight fueled up while an R6 weighs in at almost 190 with fuel) and high and wide handlebar and loads of torque from low revs. On a twisty circuit, under a skilled rider it is easily able to embarrass an R6.

  • shutup!

  • i agree my father owns an africa twin 750 60hp 250kg and he manages to kick the ass out of his mates on their gsxr1000's its all down to riding position and bar positioning e.t.c

its not the bike its the rider

  • yeh 2 an extend! but if u put casy stoner an a super duke im sure he would still not be the world superbike champion and if u put ricky carmichael on a peewee 50 he would not be the world AMA champion!!!!

  • yes u have a point but the power difference here is not that massive lol :)

  • ...or it wouldn't be if this was a SuperDuke, but I think, as the OP says, it's a Duke which is not quite the same thing! I could be wrong, but the chain is on the wrong side, the pillion seat isn't there, the headlight cowl is swept, not angular, the petrol tank is tiny etc.

  • i meant the power difference between the ktm and yamhaha are uncomparable to a peewee 50 and an ama bike for example yzf250 prick

  • OK - you're clearly expert at knowing what you meant.

OP says it's "a stock 2000 KTM Duke II with 53 HP"

    The R6 is 110.6bhp@13800rpm

Twice as powerful, and probably twice as scary.

    peewee 50 is 3.1 bhp

AMA would need to about 160bhp

    50 times more powerful.

  • ok sorry i didnt know you were an expert at finding bike specs on the net you dont understand my initial point so why be a pain and comment on something that does not involve you i dont want to argue i dont need to express my bike knowledge to anyone

  • ok sorry i didnt know you were an expert at finding bike specs on the net you dont understand my initial point so why be a pain and comment on something that does not involve you i dont want to argue i dont need to express my bike knowledge to anyone

  • You chose to be offensive, I chose to be a pain. You're 16, I'm 40. It's just possible that I know something about bikes too. The bikes in my videos are all me(Triumph Rocket II, Honda CBF1000, Honda FMX, Superduke. I commented to point out that it's not a Superduke here to bentraves. You getting over-excited is just a side-effect.

  • ok peace man im sorry we both share a pasion for bikes i owe u respect your an adult sorry i heard those rocketII's have so much torque that they can keep up with a gsxr1000 to about 80mph is that true and they can wheelie for fun and i like the honda FMX ducati's hypermoto is a copy in my eyes.

  • 's OK - and for other readers, we both mean Rocket III, not II... The Rocket was supposed to be my dream bike but disintegrated. Lots of stability and power, but annoying when it's time to park.

FMX was about 34bhp :-\ IMO Hypermotard is aimed at the SuperDuke market, but is ruined by its pathetic petrol tank capacity and filter-proof mirrors.

  • i know its no honda lol hydraulic clutch and over exagerated mirrors too much to snap off lol, beneli has realesed a great looking cafe racer and gs1200 wanabe tourer have u seen

  • I am telling you ,it was just a Duke II, one cylinder with aprox 53 Hp at the crank shaft.I just braked late and put my Duke front of him on the apex.He would have to go around me the long way on the outside..No way!

I regularly pass people in the turns with this bike and they just blow by me in the straight, than the we do it again and they get pissed..LOL

  • How can you compare a R6 with a super duke...

If you want to compare the super duke to a yamaha Compare it with the R1...

    Same CC volume

  • It is a stock 2000 KTM Duke II with 53 HP....The R6 has the advantage...

  • wtf a r1 would ansalutly smoke a duke a muck around fathers bike a r1 is a highly well thought out extreme super bike designed by the best engineers in the motocycle world! even a r6 would smoke the hell out of a duke!

  • ur father would get smoked by a skilled rider on any mid ranged 650 with a high ground clearance and twisty roads if u want to be a racer get a track bike r1's e.t.c get put to shame by allrounders on the hills nd twistys

  • Great stuff. Power is nothing without control - and loads of ground clearance

  • Damn he stuffed him pretty good in that cormer! I hunt down squids all the time on mine LOL.

  • COME ON THE DUKE...YEEHA!

  • all day long those dual sports are kicking squids asses in the hills too!
