  • you can dowload this 2 part jam on soulseek. I love it. Listened to it many many times. awesome stuff

  • id be just glowing if i saw this live

  • who cares if someone dislikes it...

if you like it, thats great, i do too. lets enjoy =)

  • 2 people like bieber

  • 1:32 makes me want to fucking cry

  • Don't know if anyone has said this already, but they're playing an adaptation of "Cowgirl in the Sand" by Neil Young. Love it.

  • @MrBThaQuestion so its not a spur of the moment jam?

  • @MrBThaQuestion

just the same chord progressions just like 999999 millions of songs

  • I think i have commented on here before about exactly the same thing, but does anyone have a link (bearing in mind I live in the U.K) to where I can get one of those track tops john is wearing, there so sick, preferably exactly the same. Also amazing jam, john has so much soul, ear splitting solo's.

  • Did anyone recognised 'Beautiful Flea and John Jam" from around 1:50?

    Sooo beautiful!

  • do you have the audio for this whole show? this was my first and only peppers show, man I miss Frusciante!

  • These two are made for each other..

  • wasn't a chili peppers fan at this time... wish i was because I would have been there in person

  • @countrygentleman10 yeah you fucked up, patner.

  • frusciante kicks in after the first guitar part, his is not as trebeled. He has the more funk feel in this jam and omar has the more mid-led zepplin/early punk sound. Great jam......damn i wish there were a video

  • @rickrossbach It actually sounds like Omar is playing first and then John comes in. A) if either of them has a "trebly" sound its going to be Omar, his signature guitar has a blade humbucker in the bridge. Johns tone is easily recognizable the neck pickup on the fender plus that marshall stack is undeniably him at 1:33. Johns tone is much warmer than Omars

  • B) even though they have somewhat similar playing styles johns I would bet 100 digital bucks that john is playing second. Almost every one of his leads in countless solos sound like that... Omar is a great player and he has his own formula for music theory in his head, but Johns sense of time and meter and melody is amazing. Plus is just sounds like him playing.

Even if im right or if your right this is just splitting atoms this jam is awesome!

  • @koolmaaan I love trying to figure out whose playing what on John & Omar's dual guitar bits!

  • @czavrel me too

  • when does omar kick in?

  • John Frusciante is my favourite human being.

  • WTF?!! Pepper fan and even bigger Volta fan. Had no idea Omar was at this show. Live in Minneapolis. Tickets on Ebay were hella pricey. FUCK!

  • They came to minnesota? FML

  • It's absolutely perfect, and enthralling :) I had an eargasm :D

  • @TheCsepe Eargasm. What a brilliant word. Hahaha. 'Click'

  • wow

  • 5:52 is coolios when the bass comes in

  • Dude, I think my ears just got a boner

  • video.google.com/videoplay?docid=3546930397994653480#

  • @QNT3N thanks

  • You can hear the precision of Frusciante over Omar Rodriguez.. Im not saying that he is better, im just saying that frusciante sound is unique

  • hello, cowgirl in the sand

  • @BrokenArrow24 fuck yes!

  • this just made my fucking day, going to work on a high

  • this just made my day

  • Too good for words!

  • who needs fucking drugs? this shit is way better!

  • @JulianOnBass EVEN BETTER ON DRUGS DUDE

  • dead sexy

  • JEAHAEAHAEHHAEHEAEHAJAHJH

  • Motherfucker.... St Paul is where I would have gone to see RHCP... I could have heard this live.... why the hell didn't I like them back in 06???

  • ear orgasm.. ay ay ay!!!

  • la puta madreeeeeeeee se sarpaaan estos soretees

  • 2 people are retarded.

  • How sick would it be to have witmessed this in person.

  • For some reason, whenever I'm stressed or feeling blue, I roll a joint (makes me calm and for some reason I hear better in that state) and then listen to Frusciante's songs or jams with whomever. I always feel a lot better and get a feeling of catharsis.

  • 30 gold fingers....

  • How do I download this one. Please!!!! Tell me where from on earth!

  • @MultiTravisbickle Haven't you heard of google, man? Just search for a converter. Unless, of course, you mean you want to pay for some official recording - which probably doesn't exist.

  • @MultiTravisbickle Google Downloadtube. Then you can just copy the video link into the box, and download it!

    Rory.

  • My ears died and went to heaven

  • pure bliss.

  • dos gigantes de la viola electrica y los efectos tan tecnologicos pero que bien usados son muy flasheros...

  • Omar first solo, then John. You can notice the turbo distortion and also the second solo has more bass, because he´s using the nsck pickup, and Omar´s guitar only have the bridge pickup.

  • @arishnak and you can tell from the way they play :P

  • Actually MagicBag, I'm pretty sure John's is the second solo. You can tell because the first solo sounds just like Omars style, dissonant and unorthodox. Whereas the second solo is being played with finesse, and it sounds clean too.

  • wow

  • i love the kongos in the background

  • ...so this is how it sounds if u put 3(Omar, John and Flea) of the best musicians of today on the same stage? fucken brilliant.

  • frusciante solo's first, than omar, you can hear it. than over and over

  • Godd!!!!!

  • John's tone is awesome. wish there was a video to this

  • john's presence is HUGE

  • dude, look at this... how they are connected to each other!... fucking brilliant!

  • @TGlel ... man.... these guys are crazy haha... if they listened to a mars volta song... and thought... oh, so this is what Omar wants to play... they'd understand what you're saying. Another side of it is that I believe that Omar can clearly play with them... but they wouldn't be able to physically add anything to Mars.

  • If only rhcp could have gotten Omar Rogriguez to replace John....

  • @superpoweredrapist are you retarded? that's like saying 'you should have got hendrix to replace george harrison, you can't just sub in two historically important guitarists

  • @TGlel just making a point, they're two guitarists who although different in style have been shown to work well together and with similar artists, this is important for any guitarist the red hot chili peppers get because they write songs by jamming so chemistry is important, the band themselves are flexible enough to work with omar's style as this video shows, so to answer your question no. I am not retarded

  • @superpoweredrapist @retard: i love omar; omar does not and would not function as well as john in the chili's, also most of his talents would not be utilised.

  • @TGlel if you say so, I disagree but then again we are talking about music and music is very very subjective.

  • @TGlel lets be Omar would have MANY disagreements with Anthony in my opinion hehehe

  • @superpoweredrapist LOL loved your answer made me crack up! cheers m8

  • damn good song i too dont know anyone likes john or omar

  • monster jam. Omar is the modern day hendrix

  • @Intheflesh44 I'm glad someone agrees.

  • I was at this. Thank you for posting, thank you thank you thank you.

Truly incredible. The sad part is, only about 10% of the crowd was into it after the 4th minute or so. Silly RHCP fans...

  • chads sick on drums nuff said

  • EXXELENT..TWO GREAT ARTISTS THE BEST PART BOTH INDEPENDENT LABELS LONG LIFE TO REAL MUSIC.

  • i dont know why if omar is puerto rican why he dont come to play in puerto rico

  • There needs to be video of this. Somewhere on Earth. Please. So. Good.

  • @veniyanwarrior

    There's a part of it: video.google.com/videoplay?docid=3546930397994653480#

  • @1989Walter dead link :(

  • @1989Walter ahh now it's working. Thank you so much, this is awesome. I didn't realize Marcel was on stage too! Makes sense... I just listened to the entire thing twice tonight, and I swear this completely blows my mind every single time. Just pure magic between incredible human beings that I hope all get together again someday...

  • @veniyanwarrior it doesn't work for me?

  • The link didn't work.

  • I could pay body parts to be there..

  • @maaaarius123 woah, you could or would?

  • i hear alot of Hazel influence in Johns guitar

  • @retrocareermelted Hazel? like sister hazel? if anything they were influenced by john

  • @SilverSleeping i think he means Eddie Hazel the guitarist of funkadelic.

also one of John's songs "before the beginning" is actually a take on one of Hazel's songs "Maggot Brain". you should check em both out theyre great

  • @SilverSleeping Eddie Hazel is an inspiration of John's is what I meant. I'm not slammin them man, they're all great

  • sound orgasm

  • hey Tetramagnaton could you tell me where i can get ahold of this concert man? I looked around for some torrents but no luck.

  • that was an incredible, magical, energetic night and the end jam really capped it off well!!! I believe it was their last concert in North America that year, then John cut his hair off and they did the Hump de Bump video. Great concert, loved every minute of it.

  • awesome

  • feel of Zeppelins solo in Stairway,AND AS WE WIND ON DOWNNN THE ROOAD

  • Hey, where'd you download this concert? (If you can tell me)

  • I know one person who likes Frusciantes solo work but that's it. :(

  • Fuckin UNBELIEVABLE!!!

  • EPIC!!!

  • I'd say John plays a much more acessible guitar, that`s why RHCP fans like his style so much.. Omar is more about a nice heavy trip which I could recognize from miles even if I was blind and deaf .. I like both, but I'm way more into the early Mars Volta and ATDI

  • @aguering how can you recognize it if you0re blind and deaf, by the way he smells??? xDD

  • @crohno oh damn, you got me there =p

  • omar clearly hates the chad smith plays drums, and is only in this to show RHCP that john is better than everyone in that band.

  • Comment removed

  • @magicbag6790 you're dumb. omar is doing just fine, but he's used to a completely different style of drumming. and you do realize that john wouldn't be where he is today without chad and flea, don't you?

  • @magicbag6790 I love it when someone says "x CLEARLY z because..." especially when it's completely unfounded and ungrounded like what you just said. lmfao at people on YouTube.

  • WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I Am all alone here in Argentina. I cant believe that nobody feels the deep same love.

  • @maxinicotra never forget to imagine how many people there are in the WORLD!! your not alnoe

  • omar wins

  • I love frusciante and none of my friends care or understand my love for him. What if all the frusciante/omar fans got together? would the guitar playing members among us create original music? or would we compete over who was the biggest fan? lol It kinda scares me to ask for "the music friend I never had" in someone, cause its either going to change my life or be completely meaningless. but yet again either way ill be better off and I could damn well use some likeminded friends.

  • biggest frusciante fan right here

  • @tharper127 where r u talkin about me

  • John Frusciante is the best guitarist in the world, just a fact

  • i'd say frusciante is the best in the world right now, or at least the freshest virtuoso and omar's not far behind

  • well you see frusciante and omar have very similar styles. i love'em both, i think omar is an overall better guitar player but the listening experience that frusciante's Niandra Lades & Usually Just A T-Shirt produces is one of a kind.

  • all my friends love both them :-) u two need to find new friends

  • jammin!!! omar + john = crazy good time

  • john's great !!

  • At first I was like, is that john or omar? it sounds a bit like john. Then I instantly knew when john solo'd. Hes got his own unique style, I love it.

  • when was this????

  • John by a mile.

  • incredible first few minutes, omar sends it to another level immediately and then john comes in over him and adds another brilliant dynamic. flea's always great but he's unfortunately overpowered by them both.

  • who's playing congas?

  • His Brother marcel

  • One thing I like about John's solo albums, and Mars Volta albums, is that there is a lot of terrible shit on them. Some of it is just awful....But that is also why I love it...They take chances, they do different stuff. They don't sound like anyone else. I may only like 3-4 songs per album, but those 3 or 4 songs are some of the most original, coolest songs I've ever heard. They are real artists.

  • Surley not? i suppose its down to taste.

id say everyone of johns songs are awsome in some way. and even if i dont like it i know that the feelin and passion of his soul was behind it, so i cant every find a way to hate it

  • what songs Dont you like from john?

    just wondering?

  • listen to the songs you don't like a couple more times. I hated the mars volta when I first heard them. Now I love every song for its own reason. They are an acquired taste for sure.

  • FUCKING GREAT!!! Frusciante, Flea and Chad are art in his maximum expression!!

  • no one can match these two. this is just plain awesomeness!

  • im fucking loving what Fleas got goin on......damn!!! John is very recognizable, so is Omar they each have trademarks.......i prefer John's playing, i dont think Omar has him beat

  • @Jkamria014 Its not a competition.

  • he didn't say it was a competition. he just voiced an opinion.

  • omar's playing is super dissonant. john just has technique and style out the ass. John is THE fucking man. Omar has a little bit on him, but not a lot. Both amazing guitarists, but John definitely takes it...

  • You really can't compare the two, their strengths and weaknesses are in two completely different places.

  • I think theres definitely some similarities, but the main difference is Tone. Omar has that high grungy almost tone on this, Johns is a little bit more warm but his highs still scream out to you : )

  • How col would it be if John joined TMV?

  • he practically is in tmv. he just doesn't do a lot of live stuff with them. he's been on all of their albums.

  • @amp50158 why did ur comment get a negative about john being in volta?? is totally is really if you listen to the albums you can pick his solos easy as. there sick !

  • now i want Omar Rodriguez and Josh Klinghoffer with the Red Hot Chili Peppers!

  • john plays alot more of the classical since of the gutair, omar is more new era "progressive'(hate that term) & into more distortions and sounds u havent heard b4

  • john plays with a lot more finesse

  • john comes in at 1:30

  • @dsouzand id say john is in soloing from the start then omar is playing the chords....

  • nope opposite john comes in 1 :30

  • @geletmote my bad yea hyour right

  • I can tell straight away when john comes in, killer and yeah i like john more than is probably healthy too

  • The riff John does at 1:54 - 2:00 and from then on is so awesome :D

  • soooo delicious to hear. damn right!!

  • Comment removed

  • I don´t know why but we should meet us all... all the frusciante and rodriguez lovers!!! And I don´t know why but no one of my friends listen to john or omar... it sucks

  • hahaha i dont know anyone who likes frusciante or omar, i suppose cause i live in spain and everybody likes comercial music...

  • @ASpanishguy I'm at your side buddy.

  • @Creationstepper2007 best idea I've heard all week. Really though I don't have a good person to talk with about the Volta or Omar and none of my friends appreciate John's music whatsoever. Sucks, but I feel ya.

  • @Creationstepper2007 hahahaha ur so right ! I have the same problems !

  • @Creationstepper2007 Your Friends Suck man.

  • @Creationstepper2007 because you have no other person form whom you can suck their cock?

  • @Creationstepper2007

Fans of real music (RHCP, John, Omar,...) are a very low amount of people.........but they are the ones with the best music tase
