I like this movie and Chuck Norris but the whispering voice is hilarious. Kind of funny to see Brian Libby in this film he was re-casted again in Silent Rage as John Kirby the psychotic killer. Richard Norton went on to do Gymkata which was a disgrace to martial arts films. Not Chucks best film but I still watch it.
The whispering voice throughout this movie pissed me the fuck off! I could not understand what it was saying and everytime it whispered the tone and everything about it stressed me out and fustrated me so much that the bottoms of my feet itched! yknow that fuck up feeling! And halfway through i mentioned the feeling and everyone in the room had the same feeling and the next time it whispered the unhearable fustrating tone I switched it the fuck off. Ruined the fuckin movie!
@BakerBadBrains ...I saw it at a theater, and the whispering was indeed "the haw-ruh"..The echo effect made it even worse..."ninja...-ninja....-ninja....they don't exist any more..any more...any more.....A shame.
I think this movie was responsible for the 80s ninja craze and for making nijas a big deal in Marvel comics like making Wolverine and Daredevil being ninja trained, etc.
One thing about the action movies from the 80's is the gravelly voiced male narrator trying to instill some sense of dread about the plot of the movie.
But this was an interesting movie. Richard Norton makes a bad ass ninja enforcer. And his skills with the Sai are impressive.
OK- there was a Chuck Norris film where he has to fight this HUGE guy called 'The Doctor'... Chuck gives the guy a roundhouse kick to the face and 'The Doctor' politely grunts at him, to which Chuck replies "Oh, boy..." Anyone remember what this movie was?
Take a look at 1:10. Looooool!!! + Awesomeness!!! Beauty!!!!

The best is Kyo the Enforcer. Any guy who can hiss like that makes Cobra Commander jealous.

The ninjas are extinct... but not because of the Meiji Restoration... but because of Chuck Norris.

Somehow, I have a tough time imagining being tormented by someone named 'Sakura'. Maybe it's just me.

This is great. Ninjas, Chuck Norris in his prime, and a Trans Am. It just doesn't get any better.

They don't make Ninja Movies anymore, a classic, good to see Lee Van Cleef again.
HOLOKRON 3 years ago
Wanna see Lee Van Cleef in another ninja movie? Search MST3K Master Ninja, while it was really a T.V. show that got it cut together as a movie.

@HOLOKRON I know. I love Lee Van Cleef. I love these 80s Chuck Norris movies. Classics.

It's called "An Eye For An Eye" and you're talking about 'The Professor', Toru Tanaka. Definitely one of the best Norris films (along with this one).
