Im afraid that it wont run well on that.

The problem is that GTA is very CPU heavy and yours is not fast enough I think.

Taking a look at the back of the box, your CPU does not even meet the minimum they stated themselfs.

So yeah, sorry to say so, but I highly doubt it will run well.

hey man i need some help, my laptop has 4gbs of ram ( its a Toshiba Qosmio x505)... it can handle gta 4 with 30-40 fps on high (50 when in a house)... if i upgrade my RAM to 8gbs.... what kind of change will i see in the FPS

Probably nothing, 4gb of ram is more then enough for GTA, it will not benefit from more.

GTA is a bit of an oddball when it comes to performance, the CPU is the most important but the settings are depended on the GPU memory.

Now getting 30-40 fps is great for GTA, Im getting about that and Im on a Desktop :S

In this game specific?

In this game you can voice chat with others by setting up your mic in Games for windows Live (GFWL) and enabling the mic in the games options.

However, we always use a programme for voice chat outside of the game, we use Dolby Axon but there are of course other programmes like Teamspeak or Ventrillo which are very populair.

Well you make sure you are online in GFWL, then you go to MP by taking out your phone in game and selecting multiplayer (yes its a bit stupid)

Is it true that Episodes From Liberty City contains two different expansions and both of them have different multiplayer? So if you play The Ballad of Gay Tony multiplayer you can't use the new weapons which are included in The Lost and Damned and vice versa? Stupid. Why can't both of them and the GTA IV have one big multiplayer with the stuff from all of those games. In my opinion multiplayer is the best part of GTA IV.

Good question, GTA is a hard game to judge that way, the story lines are great, characters are great and just driving around is great, that said I do not play it as much as I thought I would.

Online is fun IF you can make it fun, you sorta have to create your own fun otherwise it just resorts to driving around and killing each other which gets boring pretty quickly.

I ended up getting both Dragon Age and Crysis: Maximum Edition for PC. All in it was only 80 bucks, so i'm pretty happy. Had a bit of trouble with DLC, but it appears to be working now. Thanks for the feedback!

I have a problem that whenever i want to play MP i always need to play it through Instant Play because then I cant start the MP, because when i try to search for any game it tells me disconnected from the game and when I try to create a MP match I wait for hour and nobody still comes there?!!?!? There is a trial version of it but that only allows you te record about 30 seconds at a time.

Now normally I would not say this to anyone, seeing as Im against piracy, but yeah, you could download it illegally and when you find that you use it a lot you might consider buying it :)

Actually Im playing with a 360 controller, you can use both the wired one and wireless one for the PC (for the wireless one you will need an adaptor) the wired one is just USB so its plug and play really ;)

I use the 360 controller for a few games that just play better with a controller then Keyboard + mouse like racing titles and certain 3rd person games like Prototype.

Well yeah, there is no way this was made from the ground up for the pc.

However, people take the word "port" way to negative imo, Prototype, Dead Space, Mirrors Edge, Assasins Creed, all ports but all run and look great and are in that way superior to the console version.

GTA 4 is a bit of an oddball though, it needs a fast CPU yet the graphics settings depend on GPU memory :S

Gears of War 1 has a PC version, came out later with some added missions, but because It did not sell really good (I guess) Gears of War 2 did not go to the PC and 3 probably won't either.

Well it is a really good game, the SP is amazing and you can have a lot of fun online as well as you can see ;).

However, you will kinda have the create your own fun online because otherwise it will just be driving arround all day (but that could be fun too)

No you do NOT have to have GTA 4 installed to play the Episodes.

The Episodes are stand-alone so you do not need the original GTA4

No you do not need live gold, I don't think live gold even exists anymore on the PC because it failed hard when it came out a while back.

We barely play ranked because you cant easily join a friend in match, normally you can just click on your friend in your friendlist on GFWL and join his match, but if he is on a ranked match you will have to find his match by looking through the servers.
