@DocSicnarf I've asked myself that many times. I don't get why a band would insist on changing the sort of feature that made a song a hit, and to be honest I'm very annoyed that I can't find any live videos of the original arrangement on Youtube.

In a 3 piece band like I have nothing gets lost or overplayed, there is just more room for everyone to have a good time and show off a little especially on a song like this. Either way this guy isn't close to the original bass line that was played and needs to go back and listen to it. He's pretty much loosing all the groove that was in the song to start with.
