i think 13 Carman sounds kind of like a goat on some of her notes. but at least she had the balls to try out and make it pretty far in the competition. julia i agree with previous posters that she was very cocky and wasn't nearly as good as she thought she was.

Trenyce was by far the best of this bunch here.

Carmen sounded original and is gorgeous. Kimberly C is just pretty and and all right singer.

Julia DeMatto was a horror and so were the rest.

#18 was good at the start, but the power parts were bad with vibrato and flats

#17 was excellent, loved it!!!! And hsould've been higher.

#16 was excellent and fun. Should've been higher.

#15 was one of my favs that season, should've been ALOT higher!!!

#14 was pretty good, but lacked stage presence, and her tone was a bit monotone.

#13 had good vocals, but that vibrato ruined it BIG TIME

#12 I thought she came off as cocky and VERY VERY BITCHY

#11 sounded very nasally

i thought her pitch was perfect, her tone killed it, & she told the story so i'm not sure... but i really didn't like parts of her timbre (which varied quite a bit). Her head voice timbre was beautiful & her softer chest timbre was nice but the powerful notes had an uncomfortable timbre, like a Shakira sound but it Shakira sounds good b/c she doesn't belt.

She was in a TOUGH group. She was in Group 2 - Clay, Ruben and Kimberlely Locke were in that Group, and guess who the final three were? Clay, Ruben and Kimbereley Locke. If she was in any other Group, she would've made it.

Believe it or not, The semi Finals is my favorite part of American Idol actually. You get to see such a huge range of raw singing, and most of the performances in this stage are the most memorables ones to me, thats why Im SO glad you added these rare clips to youtube, Thanks.

Yeah, I do like the Semi Finals section of the show best because of the range of singers and their personalities, who gets in, etc. I hated when they made the Top 24 where 2 get eliminated each week. Isn't it like the finals except they 1. Sing to a smaller audience and 2. Two people get eliminated instead of one. Also, I liked it better when they have ONLY piano backup for this part and/or instrumental only in Wildcard episode.

I am glad that the show is shorting the auditions (how many auditons, and time lengths of episodes) this year, I think it was a wise move. All the auditions seemed watered down (even though the Julie Dubio package made up for ALL the audtions this year I think LOL). Earlier seasons were the best, because people were honestly delusional about their talents). I means after 6 or 7 seasons I think the general viewers are desensitized by all the fooliness now.
