@TheMikesports No sure mate, never been to Pitfichie but Fort Bill is rough and the camera does it no justice but if you don't like it you can go on the Red route which is from the Gondola access also so you wouldn't have wasted your £28 for the day.
i was up 2day and it was soooo good lol even thought i crashed at 3.10 and at 4.22 later on both into the ditch, the second one like killed my shoulder blade lol that's well fast riding btw and good quality
@Konaboy25 Its the best track mate. Going up next Sunday and the following Sunday. Can't wait. Gets easier the more you ride it and get use to yer lines. Cheers!
@Podracerman Not for a DH bike mate, it is a Red route but a lot of northshore on it with some pedaling. Fine for XC bikes and great fun and steep in places. Well worth it and should be quiet midweek but its not that bad at the weekends either. You hardly ever get held up on even the DH track to be honest which is more popular. The tracks are very long.
@kirstin181101 the reason i asked if there are many people is because i don't have a DH bike - it's more of a freeride hardtail with 6" front travel and 3" tyre in the back . so it's likely i'll be much slower than most guys out there and want to pick days with fewer people on the track not to slow them down... shouldn't be much of a problem to crawl down with tyres deflated
@Podracerman You will be fine mate, it has fast bits but some slow climbs also. Your bike sounds fine and its not that busy and given the length of the track you hardly pass anyone apart from when your having a break.
what bike are you running these days? loved the video, my mate was up on the sunday and dinghed his rear nukeproof wheel and my other mate took a gouge out of his saint cranks and bent his pedals aswell. looking forward to riding this track again and the red route!!
@951gj Trek Session 88 mate. Just got it a few weeks back and this was my first time out on it. Its awesome! This track is the best! Cheers for the comment.
Used to do DH a few years back and last time I came down that track I ended up breaking my arm in 2 places lol. Kind of fell out of mountain biking in general after that but have bought myself an Orange Alpine 160 recently as the MB twitch came back. This video makes me wanna give DH a go again.
your youtube channel is the best for scottish mountain biking

You have literally just sold Fort William to me! It'll be interesting on a 5" travel Cannondale Prophet though :P

how would you guys rate the red route? in the description it says "XC" - is it really cross-country?
also are there a lot of people on the route, say, on weekdays in august? thanx!
