  • My teacher made us listen to this like 10 times during class and recite hope by emily Dickinson to it

  • I wouldn't mind living on gilligan's island ....at least for a week. fresh waterfall, coconuts, seaweed, and fish. allready built huts plenty of quiet solitude. temperate, air sunshine and best of all no gilligan!!!!

  • why did my teacher tell me to listen to this 10 times for homework?

  • @SkiGirl981 ohmygosh mine too

i don't think i can.. DO WE KNOW EACH OTHER?! was it Mr..A? XD

  • @luvluvluv2216 Mr. Angel?

  • @SkiGirl981 yeah for ballads!

  • @SkiGirl981 Because she is that cool.

  • I'm 15 And I Watch Gilligan's Island It's A Time-less Peice Of Television That'll Never Grow Old And Is A 1000 Times Better Than A Lot Of The Shows On Television At The Moment.

  • im playing this on the piano!! :)

  • I really enjoyed watching this show as a child. :)

  • dis is 1 of my best shows ever

  • this vid, just triggered such an intense memory from my childhood. i forgot the name of the show , the theme song, all the characters except Bob Denver's face.... and all i remembered was the storyline being stuck on a desert island. i was born in 1993, this was the only show i watched in black and white omgggg & all this have been in the back of my memory for years untill now.

  • I loved this show!

  • I remember watching this with my grand dad when I was little.

  • How I loved watching this show.

  • They did make it back in the movies, saw how the culture had changed, and went back to the island where things made more sense to them.

  • its very catchy

  • @darkyoda Who said it had to be realistic?

  • Good quality, thanks.

  • never watched this show but always hear people talk about it...so i'm checking it out

  • So much fun to listen too!! Me too!! I grew up with them..lol ya know if he fixed the damn boat the show would have ended..duh..lol half the fun was watching thier goof ups...good times, good times

  • man I miss theys days when I was little and sick really bad this show came on made me laught and feel better

  • GET OUT OF MY HEAD!!!

    FFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUU--

  • 4 people don't appreciate good music when they hear it

  • Justin Bieber crushes this silly nonsense.

  • @YappyRaccoon how the fuck does Justin Bieber come into this? Just seeking attention huh?

  • Fact- Emily Dickinson's "Because I Could Not Stop For Death" can be sung to this tune. Seriously.

  • What I wanna know is where did they keep getting all their clothes if it was only a three hour tour?? Who carries 50 sets of cltohes around for 3 hours? And why would the howells being so rich share a boat?

    lol I loved this show

  • @romans617 LOL....I used to wonder the same thing. Also, were the Howells drug runners or something with that suitcase full of cash? But, like you I sure did love this show. I've seen every episode dozens of times, but still keep on watching.

  • If only they had McGuyver!

  • @pwnzerstick Professor was McGuyver in disguise

  • Fun fact: any Emily Dickinson poem can be read to this song.

  • is this the very original them because on my dvds they are very different

  • So addicting!!

  • Now that was some good music...

  • @EriPages Way better than some music playing at the radio lately

  • The Professor could make a microwave out of Gilligan's hat, two coconuts, some palm, and a hairpin...but he couldn't fix the damn boat?

  • @darkyoda Yet even he can't make an engine that big! in case you didn't notice, the engine, propellers, and about half the hull are gone.

  • @darkyoda Do you have to tell the children tha Santa doesn't exist too?

  • @darkyoda The boat was entirely destroyed in one of the first episodes. Gilligan did something to ruin the glue, and the entire thing fell completely apart.

  • @medicinalsnowball Yeah, I know. It's always been something of a running gag with the show though. Joking that here the prof could do just about anything, but couldn't fix the boat.

  • @darkyoda if the boat got fix...then the series will end there lol

  • @darkyoda But then they'd be no tv show if they all went home.

  • @darkyoda Damn it Jim I'm an inventor not a mechanic!

  • i used watch this in second grade in this century

  • @Helmetman11 lol same here it used to be on TV land and it was my favorite show back then.

  • i miss this show.

  • In reply to wierdunclebob, the "and the rest" version- which was black & white, came before "the professor and MaryAnn version - which was shown in color.

  • I'm a very serious deep thinker.

And that's why I still love Gilligan's Island.

It's a respite from the cares of yesterday, and also today.

  • R.I.P. Schwartz

  • R.I.P., Sherwood Schwartz.

  • My dad loved this show when he was little. I've watched it a few times, and I like it. But the theme song is possibly the best theme song in existence.

  • I don't remember the video past the first verse but this is the version of the song that I remember best. In the later series, they changed, "the professor and Maryanne" to "and the rest" which I thought was scandalous as they were my two favourite characters! Good sound to it, too. Thanks =)

  • You can read Emily Dickinson's ballad "Because I Could Not Stop For Death" to this theme song. I am warning you though. Once you read it to this beat you cannot read it normally ever again. The beat always sticks with you!!!

  • @WolverineLovesMe Apparently, it also works for most of Rime of the Ancient Mariner (fitting!).

  • nigger

  • tits and ass

  • hi

  • I have all 3 seasons on DVD. I LOVE this show and I am only 20. I used to watch the reruns all the time. lol

  • @Sakuri90 only 20??? Well i watched it when I was about 9 or 10.Reuns were on nick@nite, I really miss it now.

  • @wrestlemania157 I grew up on the re-runs. This show obviously came after my time, but I loved it even when I was little ^.^

  • LOL I LOVE THIS SHOW WHEN I WAS A KID AND I LOVE HOW THEY RETURN BACK AFTER 15 YRS TO SAME ISLAND

  • How does one get these old episodes. This was what marked my generation. I'm a person who graduated hjgh school in the mid 80's.

  • How unfortunate that this castaway sea chanty 60's show is so rare in the history of tv sitcoms and less memorabile

  • I'm def a Ginger...sometimes a Mrs. Howell...haha!

  • Not as good as the original shows theme

  • Gilligan was a pot head. That explains his stupidity.

  • Omg, Weird Al Stole the part "no phone, no light..." etc for his song amish paradise xD

  • Same here skipper
