  • Did this girl ever enlist? I wonder if she was ever willing to go fight in Iraq or now in Afghanistan. I doubt it. Another chickenhawk like Bush and Cheney.

  • Bottom line, we have a VOLUNTEER military.

  • not all, but most of the soldiers support the war

  • You forget about all those soldiers that have to re-enlist to get any money for stop loss and those that have served nearly 20 and need to finish in order to get their retirement. There are a number of factors that contribute to why a soldier re-enlists. Some may actually re-enlist to support their brethren and aide them in Iraq. Just because you chose to do another tour in Iraq does not mean you support the war, it may mean you support your fellow soldier

  • It's still a CHOICE to RE-ENLIST in the U.S. Military.

  • Most people don't sign up for the military just for money or college; if you speak to any soldier or sailor or marine it's because their fathers, grandfathers and great-grandfathers served in the military and fought and died to make this country great. My family has served the military as far back as the Civil War so don't say they ONLY do it for the money.

  • Therein will they cry aloud (for assistance): Our Lord Bring us out: we shall work righteousness, not the (deeds) we used to do Did We not give you long enough life so that he that would should receive admonition? and (moreover) the warner Came to you. So taste ye (the fruits of your deeds): for the Wrong doers there is no helper.

Holy Quran Sura 35 Aya 37

  • This girl needs to join a branch of our military. Preferably a branch that will send her to Iraq. More importantly, I think she is missing the point.

  • so recruitment expectations were met. how exactly does that prove there is support for this war? did you know there are more mercenaries there now then there are soldiers? recruitment "expectations" dont need to be that high.....

and so what if some choose to go back. that could be for whatever reason, and in no way means the cause is just. there are also thousands going AWOL and objecting, but you fail to mention that

  • so, you are taking a few points, which really dont say much either way, and subjectively presenting them to fit your agenda.... its very obvious. but hey, we learn these things as we go

  • The majority of kids that sign up for the military do it because they can't afford to go to college.

  • god damn right!!!!!

  • There's an very aggressive recruitment campaign right now, just like publicity it works. So you have people joining the army. Plus they don't join because they support the war. They join for the job...

Are you a Republican operative girl? I just find it amazing that you would defend this illegal wart that has killed more than 1 million person to this day.

  • so you may go to Iraq baby, why are you doing these stupid videos instead, you anncoulter wannabe warmonger?!

  • right-wing dumbass

  • Prozac chick, your eyes float, I'm telling you baby I think your family should go to war. I'll pay you hazard pay. Honestly you seem like you have strong opinions but your wrong. I have four HS friends that went to war, they were hardly privileged. Ever heard of the saying fight your own battles. Why don't you enlist.

  • Thank your friends for me for serving our country.

  • Go ahead and thank me then too, I work for the MIC on a needed and irrefutably good project. Before my fathers company went south he had a lot of military contracts thank him for those parts that went on missiles. Don't forget to thank my grandfather too...rocket engine hydraulics. We all work for the MIC in some form or a other don't you see...lol, probably your family too.

  • you are intelligent and beautiful

  • lol thats just the glasses

  • watch your mouth , please.

  • ah shut up. why dont you listen to what shes saying instead of just judging her by her looks. what shes says in this vid is absolute garbage, not exactly "intelligent"

  • Is there a break down of the type of people joining the armed forces? It always seems to low income, working class people with very limited job options and a limited education. Why d'you think that is? Few educated, middle class kids join. Coincidence? The plot thickens...

  • I agree with you mamby. I was supposed to discharge from the Air Force in December 2001 but extended my enlistment to go to UAE for 90 days for the simple fact that I wanted to be a part of what I felt was the right thing to do. Instead of doing what so many people do, either tuck your tail and run or ignore the problem and maybe it will go away. Anyhow, good job thinking for yourself. :)

  • To Ko7aWawa, First, name one year that the Army has ever met it's recruitment requirement. Second, what time in history are you living in. The military does not allow illegal imigrants and ex-convicts in service. I served for 5 years in the Air Force and was in Saudi Arabia during September 11th and I think your "Why don't you go and enlist?" question is an ignorant question just to cover the fact that you have not valid point.

  • Why don't you go and enlist? Why is the Army unable to meet its recruitment requirement? Some of these soldiers are sadistically and criminals. Most of them were ex-convicts or illegal immigrants. So most of the Soldiers are mercenaries. If you like wars why not go and fight in Iraq?

  • In my own life I know of two people joining the ARMY in the past month, thats compared to zero before. I get tired of the whole rip on the military, they understand there situation better than anyone, even better than some big shot news anchor.

  • Have you thought about that those numbers could actually be doctored? What country in the world would want to portray thier amry as weak? I'm not saying your wrong just it's important to realise that whatever you read could actually be telling only half the truth.

  • No, I don't think the numbers are doctored...The numbers were down last year.

  • The military's recruitment quota fell short by 20,000. Over 10,00 active-duty soldiers have been dismissed since 2003 simply because the are gay
