Here's what I use Snap for: I stick the browser with the online banking over here, and Excel over there. Then I get the info on bills due next month from my bank online, and plug it into the spreadsheet. Which in turn tells me that there's enough money in the account to pay everything -- and that I'm within my budget with a margin of 2,16% ^_^

I've just moved upto Vista by getting a new PC (HP Slimline) but even though it's a new PC HP wont offer a discount for Windows 7 for this model. So if I wanted 7 I would need to fork out more money on top of those memory upgrades because 2Gb was not enough for Vista :(. I think I will wait a few months before upgrading.

I find this weird because the apps i use in windows force me to use them in full screen, so this becomes useless, unless i like to use the scroll bars a lot.

that is true, but 7 is much more reliable, faster, and more compatible w/ software/hardware, there isn't a whole lot of difference, but it is very nice

do u know, they were raving at how fast W7 starts up, and there has been multiple tests that say on a fresh install, windows vista boots faster!

I can say from my personal experience that Windows 7 boots faster. That same test also said that after a few months, Windows 7 booted faster than vista, however those tests are invalid because they were done with the beta version of Windows 7.

I doubt it, since Linux is a kernel and not a complete OS. It was probably in a distro with a certain GUI package that had such a feature.
