@MyVideoHubOnDell personally, I never used fs95 before. couldn't find it anywhere. but I used fs98, and it is actually a 6.1 version of fs (95 is 6.0). In fs98, you would "Splash" if you tried landing on water really smoothly with realism on, but you can land on water as if on land with realism settings off. No other comments as I can't argue with something I don't have experience on.
@nathanfishing3000 Since the "water" in FS95 is technically the same as land, the game won't detect you've landed on something other than land and treats it like a solid object, thus you can land on it. There are a few water areas, however, programmed in a way that if you go on them, the game will detect a crash (what happened at the end of the video).
@ned987 im sure fsx is exellent (probably buying it tomorrow XD) however you cant beat the 90s when landing on water was normal. And its funny because the box on my flight sim 95 says "as real as it gets" I used to play this one all the time...until I got flight sim 2000. but now I want to play fsx.

1st, switch off "detect crash" in "realism settings". Try reading the manual.

@ericzillazillo If I actually did that, the plane would pop back up and the plane wouldn't "splash".

Can't believe how bad it was and sadly they have closed future development of flight sim and flight sim x is the last one.

Man, this shit brings back memorys. I played this frikni game tah death in the late 90s. I adopted FS98 very slowly but eventually switched over.
FS98 was more stable and you could do more wt it.
FS2000 sucked, a resource hog, unstable
FS2002 much better but took forever to load. wha happened to the Concorde and highway lights fr 2000?
FS2004: The best, all the goodies fr 2002 plus more AND it loaded faster.
FSX: Sucks, got kool new stuff but bigger hog than 2000. Unstable too.
FSXI ??
