  • My vaio doesnt do virtualisation so i tried to update its bios, probably downloaded the wrong bios update but now mines bricked just like this too, except mine stays on rather than going off after a few seconds, the screen stays off, the lights flash but no noises or functuality from the keyboard or any other button, if youve fixed yours please help me, i seriously need help fixing this, mines a vgn-fw vaio series btw, thank you godbless

    I used the bios option to update from USB. I made a thread about this on eeeuser dot com, it's called "unusually bricked EeePC 900".

    Wanted to ask you about the "renaming" part. Why did you rename it to "900" ? i read your post and i saw a couple of guys who updated their BIOS doing the same thing.

    I just bought a new ASUS Eee pc 1015PN-PU27, and wanted to update the BIOS. Now i just downloaded the new BIOS from the ASUS web site, and i want to know before i do the update, WHAT should i rename my new BIOS file to ? Does it really matter what i name it ? How ?
