Just watched this film at MOMA and though I found it shot beautifully at times, I can't get past the feeling that the film-maker exploited his half sister, her family and friends. Simply stating that Kati calls it "my film" is not enough to justify filming her at such a transitional time in her life for a few hours and editing it into montage of stereotypes about the people living below the Mason Dixon line.
