I used to listen to the LP version of this with the headphones on, tears in my eyes. 30-odd years on, and as a grown up, it still moves me. This surely was their finest hour.
It strikes me that this is a hybrid recording - the instrumentation is just too close to the album version, but the vocals are different. Strange. Any other Fairporters care to comment?

It may have been a partially live TV appearance ? Yet another film of Sandy lost to time.
BTW I have better quality recordings from this tour,
songs from Sanders theater and Amazing Grace Chicago for instance. Rare Sandy Denny demos too.
