    haha fail annotation!

  • fuckfuckfuckfuckfuck, that's awesome!

it sounds so insanely fluent, your understanding for this is amazing.

and when it goes over in the 4/4, it sounds simply unbelievable.

it's not a harmonical masterpiece, but man, I've never heard something like this before.

And what's the reason you don't play with Led Zep or some new aspiring Band?

I'd understand if you said you want to do your own thing, nobody likes to be the shadow of the frontsinger...

in which bands have you played yet? :D

  • @IIIIIawesIIIII Ive been a session drummer in Ft Myers for around fifteen years.Played with many great musicians that play for famous artist over the years. Never have landed the big artist gig. Now im in South Bend, Indiana. Hate it here. Trying to get into the Chicago scene but money has prevented me to give 100 percent to the effort. Focusing on writing songs like the one in this video, producing and being a recording engineer lately.

  • obviously not a low quality video, but what camera are you using to have the frame rate below 30fps? drum sticks just don't look awesome at 30fps, or even more at 60fps.

  • hey again billy! i have a question once again! i'm very interested in becoming a session drummer, but i only play drums for two years now and i'm 16. i was wondering what is nescessary to become a session drummer! cya. luuk from holland.

  • Oh man, very pretty i love the over-riding you do near the middle.

  • You are amazing man, I would love to be that good bro, if I lived near you i would take lessons in a heartbeat! Absolutely amazing

  • Wow!. You Rock Man. Awesome Performance. More power to you Mr. Billy Canty. 5 Stars!

  • I tried to help you but you want to argue. This is over. You win. My song is musically aweful. Thanks for your comments and discussion on the topic of RingWorm. I will be at the Mishawaka Indiana Guitar Center in clinic on Wednesday September 9th from 6-8 pm. I would like to personally invite you to it. Good luck with yourself.

  • @billycanty you know, it's not the best jazz fusion, but those drums are SICK...keep it up man, i wanna see some more jazz fusion!

  • Comment removed

  • dude, what a horrible comment, he flows so well with the music, do you listen to jazz fusion much?

  • solid!

  • i hope to see billy canty performing in one of modern drummer festivals someday. with that kind of approach on playing drums, he can play any kind of style.

  • Is actually very simple. 5/16 , 7/16 , and 10/16 for the intro, and melody sections while the right hand overrides in 4/4. Then 4/4 on the B section for the solos while the double bass is phrased and overrides in 6/8.

The drum solo at the end is in 5,7,and 10/16 just as the melody is and fades out.

No mess, just alot of thinking. When you understand overriding, metric modulation, time and odd note groupings, it all grooves and sounds just as normal as a Brittney Spears song.

  • lol. that´s right

seems more difficult than what really is. but man you can not be modest. you have this touch sensibility style or whatever it is but your playing is actually more than very good

  • cool and interesting. alot of stuff going on throughout the song, but it makes it sound good for what it is. amazing work once again

  • May i ask what snare you are using in this video?

  • It is a 6 1 / 2" x 14" Pearl Masters Custom snare with a 4 ply maple shell and 4ply maple reenforcement rings. It has a Black Mist see- through high gloss finish that is 100% flawless. 20 Masters bridge lugs and Master cast hoops with heavy duty snare guards on the bottom. The bearing edges are out of this world amazing. I have a Evans EC2 coated head on it and the stock Remo snare head. I had it custom made for me with the old square badges so that it would match the rest of my drum kits.

  • Thank you..I love the sound of it and the look is absolutely beautiful. So you're a fan of the ec2 ? I personally use them and instantly fell in love with them. Thanks for the reply.

  • Yes, I love them. Actually, Evans gave me a complete set to try out on one of mt kits. I have always been a Remo player. I cant really choose a certin drum head company to stick with now. Evans blew my mind with the EC2's. But im still a huge fan of Remo Suede heads.
