Yes, back then it was indeed imba and Terran has been FAR nerfed since then, Kulas ravine practically has no wide place except for mid, so yes, mapping and race overall, terran has a very high advantage in this game. Wow, this was both a good and absolutely horrible map to play as Zerg vs T/P. The map was filled with expansions, and therefore so many choke points and less opportunity for surround.
I was just thinking, in Starcraft 1, a 200/200 Zerg Army actually COULD beat a 200/200 terran army. The Ultraisks didn't do splash, but, they did decent damage and were awesome tanks. Zerglings didn't suck as much or die easily.

@wc1hater zerg has been deliberately made fragile due to their awsome macro mechanics.. the idea behind zerg is to resupply faster than any other race.. but to be honest if they really wanted it that way they should have added huge maps with loads of expansion possibilities.. so far i think the game is getting very close to balance tho.. in that game it was clearly not..
@AEgamesFtw Terran units are slow, so it's hard for Terran players to defend their expos, especially once they've moved out to attack. Terrans don't have fast units that can ice skate on creep, nor do they have the ability to teleport wherever the fuck they want. Hellions are the only fast unit in the Terran army, and they suck at defense. It's a necessary evil.

If the Terran has tanks and bunkers (which have to be filled with troops to be effective, btw) at his expos, then his army will be spread thin and vulnerable. Basic principle of "divide and conquer." Zerg and Protoss don't have that problem. Zerg can scurry over ASAP to a base that's under attack b/c of creep, then rejoin the main army quickly. Protoss just has to herp derp warp in whatever it needs at the moment.

Idra spent the whole game making the same units instead of thinking about a good counterforce. He kept sending them in Drewbie's front door in small forces. And he kept engaging Drewbie at choke-points. At choke points, only the front ultras can do anything while the long-range terran army is still effective. Idra spent most of the game not thinking. When he FINALLY decided to start playing on Zerg strengths, he won. There's nothing imba about it. Not thinking is "imba."

terran is OP late game v zerg, only thing you can do is broodlords, and still then vikings kill em easily and outrange any anti air from zerg, luckily newbie didnt have enough vikings at the time
Well placed Broodlords are OP. But this is clear imbalance of ZvT. It's nearly impossible to kill a Terran player. You need to starve them. Broodlords are your only chance in the late game when Terran sets up his BS static defense. But those lose to Vikings. But you'll always have that window where they won't have Vikings because Vikings are useless in ZvT for any other reason. Part of it is the map though. This isn't really a Zerg favored map because of the lack of open ground.
@Pataphor Here's another stupid statement from someone that sucks ass and cries when he gets 4 rax rushed, so finding some way to cry over terran. PROTOSS has shields, and dont even NEED a medivac to heal, They just wait for 20 seconds and their shields are all recharged. ZERG just need to chill for a bit and they heal themselves. Don't even get me started on how fast roaches heal when burrowed. Medivacs can only heal one unit at a time, AND they have limited heal capacity.

I think some of you fail to realize how Zerg is meant to be played. IdrA looked really "pro" just running his units head on and coming out with late BL. He repeated his steps over and over. He had plenty of opportunity to end the game early if he took the time to stop raging and actually use his brain. @AEgamesFtw Terran units are slow, so it's hard for Terran players to defend their expos, especially once they've moved out to attack. Terrans don't have fast units that can ice skate on creep, nor do they have the ability to teleport wherever the fuck they want. Hellions are the only fast unit in the Terran army, and they suck at defense. It's a necessary evil.

@AEgamesFtw That's the smartest thing you've said all day. If the Terran has tanks and bunkers (which have to be filled with troops to be effective, btw) at his expos, then his army will be spread thin and vulnerable. Basic principle of "divide and conquer." Zerg and Protoss don't have that problem. Zerg can scurry over ASAP to a base that's under attack b/c of creep, then rejoin the main army quickly. Protoss just has to herp derp warp in whatever it needs at the moment.

@AEgamesFtw i agree with you somewhat.. the thing with PF is that you need to use Storms/Fungals to easily take it down.. (or just surround it with infested terrans) if you allow the SCV's to keep repairing it, it can indeed seem quite imba for only 150 gas.. i am more of the opinion that those damned MULE's are slightly op..

Idra spent the whole game making the same units instead of thinking about a good counterforce. He kept sending them in Drewbie's front door in small forces. And he kept engaging Drewbie at choke-points. At choke points, only the front ultras can do anything while the long-range terran army is still effective. Idra spent most of the game not thinking. When he FINALLY decided to start playing on Zerg strengths, he won. There's nothing imba about it. Not thinking is "imba."

drewbie should have gotten banshees when he was dominating. With banshees, he could have picked of idra's armies with impunity, and also harassed his bases.
Or, he should have gotten one or two battlecruisers with vikings. That fleet can attack Idra's bases while being untouched by the ultras.
Failed game by drewbie to stick with the same build into the late stage and NOT attack idra with it. It was relatively mobile for a terran army and should have attacked.

with drewbie's resoureces all he needed was to get cloa upgrade. besides, getting drewbie would have easily picked of 2-3 ultralisks before idra could react and get mutalisks out. mutas take a while to build. 2-3 ultras less would have won the game for drewbie because thors own mutas.

Well placed Broodlords are OP. But this is clear imbalance of ZvT. It's nearly impossible to kill a Terran player. You need to starve them. Broodlords are your only chance in the late game when Terran sets up his BS static defense. But those lose to Vikings. But you'll always have that window where they won't have Vikings because Vikings are useless in ZvT for any other reason. Part of it is the map though. This isn't really a Zerg favored map because of the lack of open ground.

@bananian No... It's not... Mech demolishes it. Mech forces you to use Roaches. If you don't respond to mech properly, you WILL get demolished.
If muta/baneling was invincible vs Terran, then Zergs would NEVER lose to Terran, but they do, and quite often.

@Pataphor Here's another stupid statement from someone that sucks ass and cries when he gets 4 rax rushed, so finding some way to cry over terran. PROTOSS has shields, and dont even NEED a medivac to heal, They just wait for 20 seconds and their shields are all recharged. ZERG just need to chill for a bit and they heal themselves. Don't even get me started on how fast roaches heal when burrowed. Medivacs can only heal one unit at a time, AND they have limited heal capacity.

I think some of you fail to realize how Zerg is meant to be played. IdrA looked really "pro" just running his units head on and coming out with late BL. He repeated his steps over and over. He had plenty of opportunity to end the game early if he took the time to stop raging and actually use his brain. Wish Drewbie pushed in at the times he should have, although he might have been trying to show much of an idiot IdrA was being with his units. Hilarious line at the end by IdrA though B)

When i say it;s hard to play with zerg I mean that zerg always must have number supeiority, and playing with a great weak army against a strong equilibrate army makes zerg a difficult race to play with.(it's hard to coordinate that many troups when you know that they die so quick, you have to atack at the right moment).
