  • Am I the only one who thinks of Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories while watching this? Disney, battling, CARDS......

  • Why couldn't this be Kingdom Keepers themed. *huff*

  • Is Disney planning to create quests for Tommorowland, it would be awesome to see this game there.I´m scared of tommorrowland turning into yesterland!

  • @rafagoto They can do something with Zurg and Gantu.

  • Because of the cards being free, can't you just go back every hour or so to get new cards?

  • Remeber how than Hades falls in love with Maleficent before this "game" ?

  • @40514073 you mean in house of mouse?

  • What have I've been missing?!?!?! *puts on hat* Let do this!!!

  • Doesn't seem nearly as engaging as KP Adventure is. This pretty much tells you where to go with the giant symbols & what to do. KP is more of a scavenger hunt. They tell you the area where you need to be but it's up to you to figure out the clues.

  • That was pretty wicked. In fact, I don't think I've been as excited (read: not dreading) about an addition to the parks in quite some time. I'm keen to see the full dekinked version pop up at Disneyland.

  • you have to remember its just the play testing right now i heard that disney was working on anti glare glass for these

  • Seems pretty cool. But this is the second park game they have put in WDW. Where's the love for Disneyland in California?

  • OMG, Why am I reminded so much of Kingdom Hearts... DISNEY NEEDS TO DO SOMETHING FOR KINGDOM HEARTS!!!!

  • @artuno1207 Fantasmic did it before, and im pretty sure stories like this where done before Fantasmic. Roger Rabbit also did it, sans the villians story of course.

This little and neat game also has a simpler yet MUCH better story than any of the bloated and convulted Kingdom Hearts story, with the emo villians that dont add anaything to the Disney universe.

  • So WDI -FL is basically saying that the MKs 40yo theme of and format of 56yo Disneyland (self contained realistic time set lands) is no longer relevant and the WHOLE park is a giant "magic place where magic happens" FABU.....

  • On that third one, was it easier to see with your own eyes, or is it pretty much the same?

  • @potterfandf That one was equally difficult to see in person as it was in this video, if not more so. But given that this was during guest testing, I imagine they'll fix the sun glare issue before it officially debuts.

  • I'm not a big fan of Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom for few reasons.

First, I believe it has damaged the park by taking away some of the more peaceful and nice areas of the park. There are also cases of poor character placement. The format is dull with no real point and repetitive format with magic portal activation and a video. Each station relies on a camera, screen, keyhole and speakers. No variation really. Finally- is this what the Magic Kingdom needs? No.

  • @FitmanT Sorry, but I completely disagree. I think they actually have a winner on their hands with this game.

This IS a great, needed addition to the park. The character placements ARE appropriate. And there WILL be variation (such as the fact that there will be easy, medium and hard modes for the game when it officially debuts later this month--it's still just in testing).

  • Interesting to see that if you don't defeat the enemy within a certain amount of time, they tell you to try again at another portal. Hopefully they fix the kinks in the game so it's more responsive!

  • The only problem I see with this game is that the spell casting system sucks cause of the cameras, other than that it seems like a great idea, great job imagineers.

  • @salvationarmyfan13 This video was shot during the first day of guest testing. It hasn't officially debuted yet, so Disney will likely try to tweak/improve how easily and quickly the cameras recognize the cards.

  • is it free?

  • @aceladude2251 Yes, the game is free to play with admission to the Magic Kingdom. The cards don't cost anything.

  • Wow...ok I need to play this Next time I go to Disney world. it's seem like a lot of fun.

I do have one question...Do you get to keep the cards after your done?

  • @looney18 Yes, you can keep your cards. There are 70 total, so you can start building up a full deck of spells by trading or getting more on your next visit.

  • Are they go to be releasing an actual video game version of this? They really should.

  • @GAvillain I could see this working with the Kinect for Xbox. They already have the Disneyland game.

  • I think Disney has been planning this for quite some time as a part of NextGen. It's almost the same concept as Kim Possible, but even better, which is why I don't believe they just decided to do this because of Harry Potter. Not to mention, Potter opened about a year and a half ago. Something of this scale would not be done in such a short amount of time. Not everything new Disney does is about HP. Come on guys, let's give Imagineers the credit they deserve.

  • @phantomsaurora16 That, and Disney's been doing wizard and sorcerer characters long before Harry Potter's existed. Just saying. XD

  • Is this the way they plan to get back at Harry Potter
