  • Mike Papac, an armorer at Cinema Weaponry, which supplied the Glock pistols used in Die Hard 2, has stated, "I remember when we did that scene, I tried to talk them out of it. There's no such thing as a gun invisible to metal detectors, and there shouldn't be, but they wouldn't budge. They had it written into the script and that was that."

  • Holy shit! Next you'll be telling me Bruce Willis isn't a real cop!

  • I laughed my ass off when I first heard this.

  • Perfectly wrong is still perfect I guess... :-(

    Not porcelain

    Not made in Germany

    Not impervious to metal detectors/x-rays

Not all that expensive $500 +/-

  • @ConcealedCarrier Also not real.

  • the Anti gun retards base their judgement about guns from movies?

what if he said '' Yeah the new Glock pistol, it shoots a laser that can destroy the Millenium Falcon. Darth Vader carried one on the Death Star.''

  • @capnhands Sadly, they might just believe them.

  • even tho its fake that was the best scene eva

O yea if its more than a dollar 98 id be surprised

    WIN

  • From imfdb: Armorer Mike Papac, whose company Cinema Weaponry supplied all of the firearms used in Die Hard 2, has commented, "I remember when we did that scene, I tried to talk them out of it. There's no such thing as a gun invisible to metal detectors, and there shouldn't be, but they wouldn't budge. They had it written into the script and that was that."

  • It sounds like he is saying Glock Sevenum or something like it.

  • the entire gun could be made of plastic and guess what... the metal bullets would still set of metal detectors :/

  • @subysuby Plastic bullets :D

  • @subysuby

Plastic bullets and plastic casings with plastic springs and plastic firing pin and plastic magazine.

  • @Apoc897 Yep you'll just have to leave the barrel and slide at home. Other than that you'd be fine.

  • This part almost had fooled going what there is such? I knew it was bull shit once I heard Germany because my glock 23 has Austria written on it.

  • Your brother? My dad still insists he shot a Glock 9 before. I told him, "a Glock 9 millimeter," but he did not get the distinction.

  • they said it was german to make everyone know its nonexistent, you cannot make a gun out of porcelain, it will crack, porcelain is the same material as your toilet,

my brother, who is 15, still insits it exists though

  • lol a movie said it so it must be true ! I can hear the librals heads exploding now, that evil glock 7 has been under thier noses for so long and buce willis is just now telling them ! ;]

glocks have just as much metal as ever other pistil minus the actual frame, slide, magazine insurts, barrel, springs, trigger bar, sear, ect ect ect

  • The existence of a Glock 7, and the pestering insistence of people who are blissfully ignorant of the truth, is on par with human excrement, which is flushed to either your septic tank or the sewer by another contraption largely made out of porcelain.

  • Band those Glock 7's now!

    Think of the children!

  • something only a negro mind could appreciate.

  • If you file down the firing pin they become totally invisible and chamber heat seeking rounds.

  • @lunitar78 no, thats full of shit

  • @kampuskop why?

  • @vhghe I"m being sarcastic.... Theres no such thing as what he is describing. Glock's have plenty of metal in them.

This was the kind of thing that got black talon 63b5lets banned.

  • @kampuskop

Actually, Black Talon JHPs were not banned. But, Winchester voluntarily put the Black Talon line out of production due to negative press.

But, Black Talons are still made; they're known as the Ranger T-Series, intended for law enforcement use but they can be legally obtained by citizens.

  • porcelein?? lol seriously bruce willis....

  • It's not Willis' fault. Apparently he pointed out that the line was bullshit but the director wanted to go through with it. He's just an actor, he doesn't write the dialogue.

  • @Samopal21 Not only that, but Willis is apparently a huge gun nut in real life and supports the 2nd Amendment. That scene must have been painful for him to do as a gun lover.

  • @Samopal21 he probably meant a glock 17

  • lol

    glock 7

  • Glocks are made in Austria, not Germany.

We all know that movies have 100% factual data when it comes to guns.

  • you know you would think Bruce would want things in his movies to be at least partially factual. This is one reason I have not seen a movie he has been in since. The gun prop man told them they were making a big mistake but the idiot director didn't believe them.

  • oh and i forgot to include that i could get it from ebay.

  • glock 7's are so last century. i got the glock 8. its made of 100% transparent rubber. it allows me to see how many rounds i have left, being rubber means its completely drop safe, and it will get past any xray machine passing off as a toy. regular metal bullets would be detected, which is why the glock 8 fires 8x12mm glass depleted uranium cores, encased in a glass shell.

woot. i think i just passed the test for becoming a hollywood director.

  • its usually dip shit wanna be gangster kids who mention this gun, my buddy was in his local gun store when a kid like that came in and asked if "they had any glock 7's" lol the gun store owner told them they didnt exist and the kid argued with him!! swearing that his "cousin has one"

i would of chocked him if i was there.

    lol G7

  • LOL Yep, I was just watching DH2 and heard that. If this clip wasn't already on utoob I would have put it up.

My god Hollywood pisses me off.

  • the guy who supplied the glocks for the shooting scene advised them to change that scene but they wouldn't listen to him. but atleast we got a good laugh.

  • Heh, I got such a giggle out of this scene, but nobody else in the room knew what I was laughing at.

  • "NO ITS ALL REAL OMG MY UNCLE..."

I watched The Da Vinci Code and I was irked when the police shot a guy whose pistol was clearly empty (slide locked back).

  • I have a Glock 6, its made from unobtanium and can get past even the best $1.99 X-Ray specs.

  • thanks pal

  • why did you post this?
