I don't understand why his warrior is the last in order. The monk should be there because he will dish out dmg and not get hit. The warriors can take the hits with their armor and high HP

Monks can do extreme damage but knights can take ALOT of damage and deal over 1000s later in the game.

The Final Fantasy 1 game that I have is so hard to find because it's the one on the nes. The cartridge is in perfect condition and it has the box, instruction manual, poster map, and a list of monster stats. Now that's hard to find.

@Austinw16 the second game has an annoying way to level up, you take damage your hp goes up, you cast a spell 10,000 times it gets more powerful, etc. Easily exploitable (target yourself with your own damage) but boring as all hell.

All Final Fantasy games are stand alone titles taking place in different worlds, there is no continuity covering all the games so you can play any and not have to worry about background.

Yes. Final Fantasy is an amazing series (With the exception of 5 and 8) and will entertain you for hours. Just remember to set some time aside when you play it because it could be up to 40 minutes between save points.

I'm a huge fan of the series and have played and beaten every game from 7-13 (I just finished 13, actually). :) The story is incredible, the music, graphics, voice acting, all top notch. It's very different from the other games in the series, but that's why I like it. Rent it before you drop $60 on it, but in my mind, it's worth every penny :) Good luck!

@FinalFantasyFan300 the only ones I never played, because I never had the occasion, is the 4th and 5th. and 10 and 13 are worst. the guys who made the games, I don't know what they were thinking, but they certainly didn't really cared about it. yeah, the graphics are great on the 13, but personally, I don't think its the graphics that makes a game a good games. new gen of gamers think like that, because all they care about is the multiplayer. I don,t like multiplayer, like battlefields, and all.

@oly355 But Final Fantasy X and XIII are not multiplayers, but they do make a fantastic story, and the gameplay for Final Fantasy X is not much different than the old ones except for the Sphere Grid. The Sphere Grid though is very unique and it lasts such a long time, which is another great thing about it. Final Fantasy XIII not only has a great story, but also a brand new unique battle system that works greatly. The Crystarium works perfectly through the game too.

They've actually improved the stories since Final Fantasy IV, and they become more intense as the newer ones come out. Final Fantasy X had an amazing story, and it had it's plots and everything. Final Fantasy XIII had everything it needed too. I really like the old turn-based battle ones too, but it's always good to switch once in a while.

@phantomxcfl If you want to try a Final Fantasy game, you should start with one that isn't the worst the series has ever seen. AKA, not anything after X. FFX was good in my opinion, but paled in comparison to 7-9, which all still pale in comparison to 6, which is arguably the best title in the franchise.

Starting with this game would be a good idea though. It was remade for the Game Boy Advance and made more approachable. It wouldn't be too hard to track down.

Yeah, Final SciFi XIII is extremely different. So much that it didn't even seem like a FF game to me at all. I think the series died with FFX. X was the last traditional FF game & it has went to shit since then IMO. At least I have my memories. :)

The gameplay was new, which I didn't mind just as long as it had some Final Fantasy aspect to it, and I was okay with it. I like every single Final Fantasy, the only ones that didn't catch my interest was Crystal Chronicles and Tactics Advance.
