I would ask if there was enough vegetable oil, if this systems gets popular.. I mean if it gets tanked by like 50 million poeple in one country.. We do have 80 million people here in Germany..
Obviously if everyone started to do this there wouldn't be enough oil. Not unless algae oil production gained serious ground. But here in the USA there is still billions of gallons of waste oil not being recycled so it isn't an issue.
your obviously one of those car nerds who think they know it all when they clearly dont ... also i surgest you get you facts right before you chalenge some 1 in the know about biofuels also you now look like a bigger dick head now you have bin proved wrong by golden fuels
i would also take a short guess you are one who is from the middle east and is against bio fuels and thinks we should buy forign oil
Actually there's nothing illegal about burning straight vegetable oil as a fuel. If you know of some legislation that says otherwise I'd love to see but I'm sure if you actually take the time to look you'll find that there is no laws prohibiting it.
Actually during a straight vegetable oil conversion the "Fuel Delivery System" is not modified, its the same "Fuel Delivery System" originally approved by the EPA when it left the factory. A heated parallel fuel system is all that is added. No laws are broken during an SVO conversion. If this is the piece of legislation you would like to use to discredit SVO, you'd have to apply it to After market air intakes, computer modules, etc. etc. But everyone knows they are not illegal either.
"A heated parallel fuel system is all that is added"
Which is modifying the fuel system by adding components and altering the fuel flow path as well as using a non-approved fuel.
The difference with after market air intakes, computer modules, etc. etc. is that they were all submitted to the EPA and/or CARB for approval or are labeled for off road use only.
Has your conversion system been submitted to and/or approved by the EPA for use on public roads?
Bully Dog computer module, Racor Filter, Parker Fuel Lines, and a Transfer flow fuel tank all EPA approved. If I install these components together on my vehicle to run SVO, these components are no longer EPA apprvd? Look up Arkansas Bill 690 regarding SVO as fuel. Research the legality of SVO as fuel in New Mexico and Indiana. The water inj. system you installed, does that have EPA apprvl? Is water an apprvd fuel by the EPA? What kind of water, distilled, tap or rev. osmosis? Just curious.
There's no law specifically prohibiting vegetable oil as a fuel in the other 47 states. No law doesn't = Illegal. In the 3 states mentioned, they specifically exempt vegetable oil as fuel. As for our systems I stated before, all of the components of our system have been approved by the EPA. The approval by the EPA to the individual components isn't rendered void if they're installed together to run vegetable oil, therefore approval is not required.
The system as a whole has not been submitted because it doesn't have to be. So what you are saying is you think we need more government control? We need to stop this trend toward recycling and using no petroleum fuels. Let's quick, stop any research or experimenting with alternative fuels with the force of government before we find something to replace petroleum. What was your original statement? "I'm so glad vegetable oil is an illegal fuel!"
The last I have to say to you on this matter is the words of one of our founding fathers,
"lf ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animated contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen. --Samuel Adams

According the EPA, operating a vehicle with a non-approved fuel delivery system is a violation of Federal regulations.
Biodiesel (B2-B100), as opposed to pure or used vegetable oil, is approved for use in motor vehicles by the EPA.

The distilled water I use is not a fuel. The water injected into my intake is used to absorb heat from the air charge entering the engine.
That's 3 states you list. I doubt you could make much money selling a conversion system to such a limited market. What about the other 47 states?
You also didn't answer my last question. Has your conversion system been submitted to and/or approved by the EPA for use on public roads?
