That they were the only ones (mesopotamians, egyptians etc) who had the devine right to brew beer according to the laws and godesses? Would have been nice to mention it because it would add a lot of irony.

There was plenty of fruit and honey lying around that they could ferment much more easily, which is exactly why mead shows up long before beer. Besides, Emmer grain findings predate barley. This is pure bullshit.

Fuck, they would probably still be hammered while building them. We today can't build the pyramids. I doubt giving construction workers beer will suddenly make us be able to do it.

@eagleduzt I just don't think they are going to be teaching this stuff in graduate archaeology classes. Don't believe everything you see in some documentary as 100% true. My uncle works in a government history department and Archaeologists will come close to fist fighting over really simple stuff while sharing a few drinks. Just because a group of guys such as the ones in this video believe this doesn't mean it's consensus. I'm sure other proffessional archaeologists that aren't just some random

Just because you like what they are saying and find it fascinating and it so happens to be on a channel like discovery doesn't mean it's true. We will never really know unless we were there. I personally believe that most of this is ludicrous. That's my opinion and I'm sure A LOT of Archaeologists would probably agree with me. Probably a lot might agree withthem
