  • very nice video, im interested in doing a 1/16 scale replica myself but of Total Destruction, Grave Digger's biggest nemesis especially in the finals of 99

  • @ rcWizzard

What is the name of the company that makes the plastic bodies? I've been thinking of building a monster truck out of a go kart frame and I don't know where I can get a body. Also, how much do they cost?

    Thanks

  • @BabyWestProductions

    I made the body.

    Check out part 10.

  • @rcWizzard

I know you ended up making it...but originally, weren't you going to have someone else do it? I don't have the capabilities to make my own. If I can't get a lexan body, then I have to make it out of sheet metal.

  • @BabyWestProductions

Yes, Virginia Industrial Plastics, Inc. Check them out at vaplastic. com . Tell Brent rcWizzard sent you. They can Vacuum form Anything.

  • Your pretty skilled to be able to do that!

  • Thanks.

  • rianimatar- translation playfull toy

  • забавная штука

  • Dude, in English!

  • @rianimatar garblebaboobiesbarnnoopbeenerboner

  • you must be very talented to make that all from scrach, nice work

  • Thanks man.

Be sure to click on "More from rcWizzard"

  • to be continued

  • love it m8 frikkin love it this is what i call a real model man man some one who goes in and does stuff haha

  • nice man looks good

  • amazing!!

  • really cool :D keep it up !

  • hows the progress on the car? put anyting more on it?

  • I'm working on the rear shocks, new ones with oil and the resivors. Waiting on a company to make a bigger heat box out of sheet metal. Then will get back into the body for this Truck.

  • is that v8 an actual running model engine?

  • Yes, check out my first video of it.

  • i'll be the driver if ya want ;)

  • How tall are you?

  • 6 foot ;.( i can sit on it:D

  • i'm 4 ft, i can drive lol

  • i know what i want for christmas

  • talented dude

  • holy shyt ur fuckin aswsome!!!!!

  • i fuckin love ur truck i want one!

  • lol u got a lot of time on ur hands lol good job btw

  • Awesome rig man, im currently working on a 1/8th scale kit. Think I may have to try and make my own now...

  • Wow that is a really cool project. mighty fine work!

    Mike

  • when is the video comming out that actually shows it in action??

  • That one will be Months from now. Hope to have it running by next May.

  • im in awe, you have an amazing talent. The transfer case and gearing.. Is that all custom machined by your own design? And what will you do when youre done?

  • Well, I did not make the Transfer Case. That was done by Ed from MA, other than the Engine and drive shaft I made everything else. When done, I will get some sleep.

  • whens part 9 gonna get put up i've been following you from the beginning man looks cool keep up the good work

  • where did u get the engine from?

  • Used from E-bay.

    Check out ConleyPrecision dott com

  • Perhaps a solid fiberglass and foam plug to vacuum form over might have been a better idea? Equal or less overall work, and same outcome?

  • I'd rather sand wood than fiberglass. Foam would not be strong enough. The mold has to withstand 1700 lbs of pressure per sq ft.

  • It's really coming along on the chassi, I still have a ways to go on the 1:10 grave digger i'm building Hurricanes gustav and ike put me on the shelf for awhile even thought I live in louisiana ike still gave us a beating so money went from tight to tighter. But keep up the good work, look forward to seeing the molded body when you get it done...

  • Wow!! nice.

  • is it finished yet ? ime really looking forward to seeing this completed !

  • Great job man! As I've said before, I've been following your progress on this truck since the first video. All I can say is I'm amazed at the amount of craftsmanship that's going into this.

I'm glad you have found a company to have that body made for you- couldn't imagine trying to put the body together (rivets?). Anyway, keep up the good work- can't wait to see the final product.

  • Thank you sir. I spoke to the forming company today after sending pictures of what the mold looks like. I need to do some serious supporting. So now I need to basically fill the inside of the box with more layers of wood to prevent it from collapsing in from the sides and roof. So, More Time.

  • hey jw, but when do you thingk you will this finsshed?? Good luck with it i relly wonna see it when it is done.

  • I hope to have it running by next May.

    Who's jw ?

  • Jw is an abbreviation for "just wondering". I hope that helps you out and good luck with your truck, it looks awesome!

  • IC. Thanks man.

  • My compliments. You are building the coolest monster truck model ever!

How will you realize the electrical part? Normal servos? I think this baby will turn very heavy...

  • Thank you.

I plan to use 2 1/4 scale servos with 320 In oz of torque. They will fit inside the front axle.

  • Yes, I understand. I think that 2 1/4 servos with that torque would be enough...

One other thing; are those wood parts shown in the video a mould to stamp a lexan body?

    Sorry for my english...

  • Yes, a 1 piece Lexan body. I found a company that can form up to a 6ft by 12ft sheet. Just over an hour from me.

  • You're very lucky; a diy customized lexan body...

I hope you will be able to film the operation!

  • sick get a mamba monster max and 3s lipo =)

  • Nah, I stick with a V8!!!

  • i'm dying to see that painted green... its gonna be badass.

  • will it drive?

  • When complete, yes!

  • crazyy, damn, what are u smoking???

no realy great stuff, keep it up .....

    mfg

  • nice, it's looking good!

  • hi there masters wizzard please do you have any plans off the truck to sell .would be very intresterd to buy .keep up the good work .you are the best ..

  • I have drawings of parts in several ways, some on the back of old business cards, some on windows Paint drawings printed out with hand written notes and measurements and such. I need to get them updated and more complete. So, I don't really have anything I could easily send you. Are you planing on building a similar project?

  • RoberBabro is right... you are the man!! Just my thoughts, but I would think that you would be better off making from clay. This way crushing is not and issue and each and every detail on the Diggers body could be sculpted. So whats next... Max-D?

  • I have no experience working with clay. And I would think the heat of the plastic would distort it each time it was formed.

  • I subscribed to you, your the man!

  • i can not wait to see it finsihed

  • what did he think about it i bet the wants 1

  • Yeah, he thought it was cool. He calls the engine a "Wee-8". He has several Real ones, no time for one this size.

  • hey when you go to see grave digger again and when this thing is done are you going yo show him this great project

  • Dennis has seen it at the "RC Monster Jam World Finals" race at his shop in NC. Last 2 Memorial Day weekends.

  • god this thing is gonna be so sweet when its done i cant wait to see it when its finished :)

  • how much money does it take to build a truck like that?

  • I haven't added up the bills yet, but I would guess around $2000, so far. Not including the Conley.

  • Wow, I would have thought more... BTW I can't wait to see it done. Great Job!

  • Ohh yeah, I can be your driver... :-D

    muahahahAHAhaha

  • Why do you need the sheet of plastic so large? (6' x 12' )

Is the surface area that large?

Well, keep up the good work... i know you will, and wont settle for anything less.. =P

    Thanks Kevin, take it easy..

  • Well I don't need it to be that big, I was just saying this company can handle projects that big so mine will be a piece of cake.

  • I want to see the title, "TEH EVAL GRAVE DIGGA LIIIIIIIIIIIVVVVESS!!!"

    Pretty sweet, bro.

  • Wow, now thats what you call a bodyshell, I wouldn't fancy trying to paint all that lexan, would take a bit more than half a rattle can from Tamiya!

As i posted before, brilliant job, cant wait to see this completed. Keep up the good work

  • aqsome 5/5

  • I CANT WAIT to hear you say "quarter scale grave digger part 9!"

  • Order 3 or more bodies just in case one gets fucked up either in shipping or through your own mischief muahhahahahahaha!

  • second view lol, but first rating

  • first view yeah
