If you want a good lens for the Sony A300 you can get a old Minolta lens and it is just as good as the one that Sony makes and is built better then the lenses now and get it cheap.

Depends on your needs and budget but personally as I did, and am probably biased I would go for the sony a300 over the canon :)

Depende de sus necesidades y presupuesto pero personalmente como lo hice, y la me predispuso probablemente iría para la Sony a300 sobre el canon:)

The main reason was bang for buck. For what you get imo they are better value for money than the comparable Nikon and Canon counterparts. I also wanted liveview which Sony have done really well and the articulated screen is really useful. Finally I prefered the feel in my hands of holding the Sony a300 over a Nikon D40 & D90 and Canon 450D.

ya by the way in the other comment i meant good old sony not god old haha. But ya i personally like the 450D which does have livewiew which must of made it a tough discision for you. But ya my hands hurt holding the grip compared to nikon or even other canons like the xti(no liveview).

lol I assumed that was what you meant :). The 450D is nice and although it does have liveview I didn't think they pulled it of aswell as Sony. And the price difference is around £70 (after cashback) between the two and I managed to get a few other bits included saving another £50 making the difference about £120 so it was an easy buy for me :)
