Or perhaps it's a repeating cycle, because time itself could be contained to within the universe. It's proven that spacetime goes slower or faster in certain parts of the universe. It is affected by gravity.

It's a fascinating subject and researching the universe is a far better alternative than just accepting old books about magic and wonders
