  • russell brand? your wife is hot by the way lovvvvee them tities.

  • hey Fattony can you make a tutorial on how to use a loopstation while beatboxing i'm really interested in beatboxing with a loopstation and if you make a tutorial 'bout that, it would be awesome

  • heey how much was the amp :)

  • @aussie4lifeful Around £180

  • @FatTonyBBX

how mach would a cheep on be?

  • @aussie4lifeful A cheap amp? If you aren't too bothered about the sound quality you can probably get one for less than $20. Your best bet is to go to a music store and ask if you can plug your mic in to test 'em if you're going that route, however.

  • Ok im confused..i want the Behringer XM8500 to plug into my lapto for beatboxing on ventrilio...do i just need the mic or what cables do i need? please help

  • @BiggiebBeatbox To connect to your laptop you'd either need an XLR-1/8 inch jack (or XLR - 1/4 inch jack, then an adapter) or you can use a USB soundcard. If this sounds in any way confusing then go to a dedicated music or electronics store with the mic and laptop and ask them to take you through it. I'm sure they'll be happy to help out, and it's far easier to have somebody physically show you :)

  • @FatTonyBBX thx tony

  • You look like Russel Brand.

  • Is the XM8500's XLR jack male or female? I'm waiting to for the mic itself to arrive, but I need to know what cable to get along with it.

  • @BluesMaddy The XLR port on the mic is female so the male end goes into that slot (ooh err). If you're then plugging it into the XLR port on an amp then it's female into the male, ie. an XLR-XLR cable should be male-female and an XLR to 1/4 inch jack should be male-jack

  • Hey Tony i have been beatboxing for a long time now before i didnt take it serious until i reached the ge of 15 (last year) and i tend to spit a lot in my beatboxing is that a good thing lol or a bad thing :( an could u mke another vid of u using the microphone or if possible could u test multiple microphones out for me to see wich one is the best further more i am relli confused bout wich mic i shud be do reply as this would be a major help thank you Tony :)

  • You dont need any shit for beat boxing

  • @AlexandarProdaction That's essentially true, but it's important to practice with equipment before getting up on stage.

    -FT

  • yo fattony can u ues an kaoss kp3 pad on the Roland Street Cube????

    safe

  • @edwardgerrard You can, but I haven't tried, what with having about as much interest in kp3s as I have in the mating rituals of the common centipede.

    -FT

  • with the whole cable you can always get a pa head that has both inputs. thats what i use for my band when i'm doing vocals. i'm getting this mic soon hope its worth it.

  • can u please beattbox on the roland, recording with this camera.. im thinking of investing in it

  • Hi mate! thanks for helping out!

I Have a microphone ready which is a very expensive one and looks like yours! i plug it straight into my amp but when i beat box it comes out with the sound of wind blowing (fuzzyish sound) becuase im breathing out of my mouth when i beatbox.

Do you know how to reduce this in anyway? and if i turn the bass up will that make it sound better?

  • sorry kinda of new to this, does the roland alow you to layer songs?

  • @pkf2007 No. You'd need to buy a separate loopstation - you'd then be able to connect that to the cube.

    -FT

  • thank u wery much!

  • when you beatbox,do you ask for more bass??

  • @matthewtangliwei Personally, yes, but not too much. I'm not a very bassy beatboxer though.

    -FT

  • @FatTonyBBX thanks

  • I just got the Behringer XM8500 are there any cheap amps you could remcomend for me ??

  • @waferthin99 Mini cubes (a smaller version of what I use) are fairly cheap and very portable

    -FT

  • why does my xm8500 sound so "airy" as in my pf snares and my kicks.. i have my mic running through an xlr to jack which i connect to my computer with an adapter

  • @p1n0yXer If it sounds like you're blowing on the mic, maybe you're doing just that - other than the "explosive" part of the sounds you shouldn't be letting too much air out.

    -FT

  • @p1n0yXer If it sounds like you're blowing on the mic, maybe you're doing just that - other than the "explosive" part of the sounds you shouldn't be letting too much air out.

    -FT

  • @FatTonyBBX so does this mean i always have to hold my mic to the side?

  • how long have u been beat boxing???

  • @y0b0t About three and a half years now

    -FT

  • @y0b0t dang.....

  • hey FT,

would you mind tellin me the name of this amplifier? maybe a link would be helpful because me and my friend would like to present our beatbox skills on the streets of cities so we need some sound ^^

  • @Crufty09 Roland Street Cube

    -FT

  • thanks a lot man this really helped.

  • does the XM8500 come with an XLR cable?

  • Nope

    -FT

  • thanks :(

  • do you think i should buy this?

    strumentimusicali[dot]net/popup_image[dot]php/pID/2267

  • omfg you are so fat how about losing weight lolol

  • I'm planning to use a mic for a flash animated web series, wil that be a problem if I use one that you mentioned? I can hear a little noise on your video, it's just a peculiarity to your recording?... (I mean, you may be using just a webcam mic to record this and not neccessarily one that you mentioned) I'm asking because the spectator of my show may notice when the recording starts, and that would make it look really unprofessional.

I'll not make any money so I'll need good COSTxBENEFIT

    Thanks!

  • I'm using a video camera and it does have a rather sensitive mic. While it's fantastic quality it does pick up rather a lot of background noise.

    -FT

  • @FatTonyBBX hey, ive been thinking of buying an amplifier, mainly im practicing kinda funky breakbeat-beatbox and mainly drum and bass, what would you suggest me? i can spend up as much as the roland street cube costs.

  • It would be nice if I could just connect the mic to my soundbar which is connected to the TV. Or to my Altec Lansing stereo on my computer. That way I wouldn't have to buy an amp

  • Would that be possible?

  • @larzie906 i connected it to my pc with no problem.

  • I have an Ibanez Amp for my Electro Guitar. I am using it for the equipment. Does it matter to have a special amp or can i use the amp that i have ?

And your Tutorials are really helping me. Thanks for making series like that. =)

  • I didn't get something, its better a bass amp or a guitar amp?

  • Doesn't really matter. Bass amps will obviously be bassier, so it's down to personal preference.

    -FT

  • But... you're not fat! ,:/

  • the size of that amp is perfect...i have a guitar amp (RG40R) with a really cheap mic, instead of getting rid of it do you think a decent mic would make alot of difference?

    another very helpfull video. thanks!

  • The mic I use cost £20 and it's very good. Behringer XM8500 - definitely worth getting.

And yeah, the amp size is perfect. It's pretty light as well, so perfect to carry around and stuff :)

    -FT

  • can u plz send me a link to fin d cable for mic into a guitar amp

  • Bass player by any chance?

  • Search "XLR-1/4 inch jack cable"

    -FT

  • what if i live in a different country?, i will have trouble buying the equipment!. Any ideas?

  • You shouldn't have too much trouble shipping it around. Obviously you'll have to check the prices, but that goes without saying.

    -FT

  • I just brought myself a XM8500 today !!

Its pretty nice and very comfortable for holding it...

    thank you !

  • Do I need mic to make a beat?

  • No, but if you are planning to perform it is important to practice using a microphone.

    -FT

  • How do i connect my microphone to my laptop?

  • get the "XLR to jack" cable, then get a "Jack to 3.5mm"

  • can i plug my mic directly to my computer?

  • Yes - I'll talk about this more in another video.

    -FT

  • did you already make the video? i can't find it lol

  • Nah I haven't yet. I will soon - got a few things "queued" up to be recorded.

    -FT

  • very good sunshine, some bunny is very proud of you x

  • wat adapter do i use mono or sterio

  • I'm afraid I can't tell you - it depends on whether the mic input on your computer is mono or stereo. Like I say, I recommend an external soundcard - better sound quality and easier to use.

    -FT

  • Ive had the XM8500 for ages!! Love it!

I wanna get a Street Cube soon!

    And a Loop Pedal

I was thinking of the Boss RC-20XL

  • does the xm8500 work on the computer

  • Comment on your video: Fat Tony's beatbox tutorials - Equipment guide

I'll be talking about how to connect a microphone to a computer in a later tutorial. You can use either an XLR-1/4 inch jack then use a 1/4 inch to 1/8 adaptor, or use an external soundcard - I recommend the M-Audio Fasttrack for about £75.

    -FT

  • yes it does ! i use my xm8500 on the coputer too !!

  • helped me a lot!! thanks

  • Very glad to hear it :-)

    -FT

  • xm8500 is great! and so is the roland street cube! =) both work great and provide clear sounds.

  • very helpful...

but I just dun hv money to get all those stuff dat u mention...

    lol...

  • You can get fairly cheap amps if you look around. I suggest asking in a music store if you'd be allowed to plug in a mic and test them for a bit. Let the professionals help - it's what they're there for :-)

    -FT

  • xm8500 is a good mic esp for the price :D

  • up to the next tut mate, nice one!
