Possibly the method of hunting the largest/strongest animal isn't good for the species (most predators hunt the weak/old/young but then again they don't have high powered rifles) but she killed an animal that lived naturally and ate the meat, how is that worse than supporting factory farming by buying meat at a supermarket? btw Im not claiming to kill/eat my food and it is inpractical to do so for most people but still.

First off, this is not HUNTING> do you think that caribou just happened to be prancing around all by itself without the herd ? It was so obviously set up! She didn't hunt in any sense of the word. She just sat there on her ass with her cronies until that caribou just "happened" to show up at the perfect time, alone, so she could shoot it with a telescope.
If you want true hunting, go back about 500 years ago and spend some time with a nomad who hunted, tracked, and killed with the barest tools.

How can someone consider himself a hunter, when he shoots animals with a gun?
1. It can be done from a distance, where the animals consider themselves safe and don't even try to run. Even if they see the hunters.
2. Often the animals will be confused and just will look around, when they hear the shot.
3. Even an out of shape fatass can hunt this way.
With those fundamental advantages hunting becomes hardly a matter of IF it is successful but only WHEN and WHERE. No honor in this kind of hunt.

Well, fake or not, everyone knows Palin's passion for hunting. She wants to be released until the hunting of polar bears, saying they are not at risk of extinction. She wants to shoot everything that moves.

First off, this is not HUNTING> do you think that caribou just happened to be prancing around all by itself without the herd ? It was so obviously set up! She didn't hunt in any sense of the word. She just sat there on her ass with her cronies until that caribou just "happened" to show up at the perfect time, alone, so she could shoot it with a telescope.
If you want true hunting, go back about 500 years ago and spend some time with a nomad who hunted, tracked, and killed with the barest tools.

If you don't agree with hunting, don't watch this video. Keep your nasty comments to yourself. Nobody is forcing you to watch this video. There's certain types of human life style I don't agree with, but you don't see me running down on their beliefs. If you leave me alone, I'll leave you alone. As a person I enjoy hunting and I believe it is a good way tool of conservation, instead of the thing freezing to death, dying of starvation, etc.

How embarrassing.
Sarah has spent no time at the range, No time scouting, basically no time with the rifle. All of the effort and preparation for a hunt is a key component to a REAL hunt. This looked as though Sarah had training wheels in tow. I can understand showing her to field dress the first quarter of her game so she can experience the full account of the remaining three quarters. This was nothing more than a photo shoot to keep her in the lime light.

Because there are economic levels: liberalism (communism/socialism) and conservatism (capitalism, laissez-faire), as well as social levels: libertarianism and authoritarianism. Marxism is socially libertarian and economically left, while Stalin and Mao's "communism" was socially authoritarian and economically left. The Nazi's were economically right and highly authoritarian.

Say, up and down, with down being libertarianism (most extreme case: anarchy), and authoritarianism being up. You can be an anarcho-communist (bottom left), or an authoritarian communist like Stalin (top left), anarcho-capitalist (bottom right), or authoritarian capitalist (top right). To say extreme economic ideals automatically equal authoritarian social views is just false.

An example of this would be the EZLN in Mexico, who mix Anarchist and Libertarian Marxist ideals, as well as political thinkers such as Kropotkin.

It is a political theory in which there are no leaders, there is no state, there is no property, there is a common ownership of the means of production, etc. A major anarcho-communist writer is Peter Kropotkin. The EZLN movement in Mexico is essentially anarcho-communist. This is just plain fact. Look it up.

My original point was that using a mere left v. right scale of politics doesn't really fit a true spectrum of political ideals in that it only truly takes in economic belief while only somewhat compensating for social beliefs as well. The Political Compass and other representations like it, fix this

Their economic practices can be on a range of communism to laissez-faire capitalism, while their social practices can range to little government involvement to authoritarianism. When you put these together you get their government.

I think this scene is controversial because why doesn't the Caribou run away when the gun is fired?
