  • Sad to see him leave the planet.

I took ad/design, illustration and cartooning from him at PCC in the mid 70's. He was an adjunct there fresh out of Art Center School of Design. He took our class on a tour of his office/studio in Pasadena. I remember looking around at it and I said to myself "this is for me". Been at it ever sense... though never to the octave he managed... but it has taken me a lot of places. I am forever grateful.

  • I have just recently learned about Per and his work. Sorry to hear of his passing. He will be missed to many of the LF community.

  • Sad to say that Per passed away this morning. Per was married to my first cousin. He was a good man and a gentleman. Rest in peace, Per!!

  • You explained the technical aspects of photography as they relate to the artistic side very well. Too many photographers (especially digital photographers) are too wrapped up in technical stuff. On the other hand, many photographers don't want anything to do with the technical skills (the craft) necessary to produce fine photographs. Both are necessary, as you point out. As a large format photographer myself, my skills in the craft enable me to achieve my creative vision.

  • Per speaks with wisdom. His prints speak even more.
