There is another version no one has mentioned yet, and that's the track 'Punkrockarn' by Träd, Gräs & Stenar (Trees, Grass & Stones, a legendary old 60's-70's swedish psychedelic/minimalist trance rock/progg-band), which really rocks. Gotta love those guys for going at it still, over 40 years later, but still kicking the youngsters asses!

Ruisaks version was very big here in Sweden. If u think he's serious ur so wrong it's a "parody" it just sounds so effin good. Iggys version is good to.
The story is that Jocke Åhlund wrote the song together with Chlas for Teddybears sthlm. But Jocke thought that it would be a good Caesars song too. Rusiak worked with teddybears at the time so he did his own version of it (with a little help). There you have three versions. Then somewhere Teddybears remixed the song with Iggy Pop. And a dansband (don't remember the name) made the danceband version. You know "Cos I'm a dancebander yes I am"....
I had first heard this song on the jay and bob soundtrack and researched tom ruziak or however you spell that for a bit and had liked the song. Then on public radio i heard the iggy pop version and searched all over until i found out the teddybears were the original, and I have to say that the iggy pop version is better then all others, very easily...very good stuff...and the video is perfect.

They're simply taking the piss out of the stereotypical hardcore hiphopper.
And if it sounds dated to you, it might be because the song was released seven years ago, in 2000 (same year as the original "Punkrocker").
