  • its so sad that something like this is happening again in Sudan and no one seems to care

  • this is the most beautiful song I've ever heard

  • 17 people have serious issues.

  • I'm going to Rwanda in August this year to save babies from the dump <3

  • I hope, anyone who thinks war is never justified, too remember Rwanda. Its horrible that, the worst thing about war is that it is sometimes necessary. UN intervention could have easily prevented these deaths.

  • love this song

  • THIS MOVIE MADE ME CRY UNCONTROLLABLY!!!!!! THE SONG DIDNT HELP NONE

  • the tutsi's killed the hutu's !

  • It pisses me off that the media focuses on bullshit about celebrities and meaningless t.v shows instead of things like these. Millions of men, women and children being slaughtered and all I hear about on the news is "who wore this" or "who gossiped about who". What the fuck is wrong with this world.

  • Youre not even a nigger! You're an African. Most memorable and depressing quote from that film.

  • adzssfhg

  • ....to snad ani není monžné,co se může stát :'(

  • I'm ashamed to be Catholic after watching this film, because so many Rwandans were betrayed by the church, and no one did a thing about it!

  • @BayAreaOrBust What were those priests and nuns supposed to do? They weren't soldiers or even armed. Were they supposed to stand there and die like sheep?

  • @UchihaGamer111 they took care of the needy and the children, and provided moral support for the refugees. basically they were caregivers.

  • This song made me cry, dear god.

  • Waaaaaaaaaa

  • At the end of the movie it mentions that the Interahamwe were pushed over the border into Congo. It fails to mention that because of this 5.4 million people have died in the DRC, that every five minutes four women and children are raped...45,000 people die a month and the worst part about the conflict in Congo is NO one knows about it.

  • I'm sad

  • im sad about rwanda :( this makes me want to cry

  • This movie is so much more powerful than Schindler´s List, simply because it removes all illusions.

If you thought atrocities like this couldn´t be happening anymore after the Holocaust, watch this movie and think again.

  • There is no fkin god for what happened to those ppl!!!!!!! Even if it wasn't for a lesson- why the he'll wud tht happen if god was here????!?!?! God damn u pl need to think..... -only my thoughts but still- if there was a god he wudnt have let the fckin happen no matter if *the world closed it's eyes*

  • @3M0B0Yl3 because life is a test. its not a lesson its a test.

  • @tsingger You are creating a mess now, chill a bit dude and respect people's views, haven't you learned from Rwanda about differences? Make some actions that will help people and instead of creating hysteria. Jack ass.

  • God see's everybody's future, but that does not mean he controls it. It is a hard concept to understand, but we all have our own choices, God gave all humans free will. A wise man told me of this, and everything in the world seemed to make more sense after that. That is why you see people murdered & tortured, because they are free to do so, not by the law of course, but because God created us to make choices. We don't come into this world destined to go to hell, or heaven. Our choices decide it.

  • This was a horrible thing that happen(in my eyes it should have never happen) but Jesus/God makes everything happen for a reason, and I think this had to happen to open peoples eyes! I have hope for Africa that one day they will all become united. God Bless Everyone!

  • @Riya93ful Are you serious? What kind of sadistic bastard is that so called GOD? There is actual difference of doing something to make things better than simply saying "my prayers go to Rwanda". Get real. Actions are the only thing that counts.

  • @Riya93ful

Seriously?! God got does people to kill 800,000 completely innocent people, many of them children, just to teach us a lesson?! What made it ok to sacrifice these people for the "greater good"?

What the hell is wrong with you? Just shut the fuck up now.

  • @Riya93ful I think the Rwandan genocide only proves once more that the people of the world will never be united.

  • what at touching song

    stop the fighting...everywhere

    MAKE PEACE AND NOT WAR

  • 0:27-0:30 that show how much pried they have for their clan or country or what they belive in

  • I think this song sounds best at the end.

  • PLEASE PLEASE STOP FIGHTING - this is such a beautiful country

  • This song actually reminds me of how good this movie is.

  • lSAW OR WANT TOS MOVIE =D <3

  • I LOVE this movie, it made me cry a few times.

And it's like now whenever i wear my cricifix I feel a little shame, because I know a lot of bad christians murdered innocent people.

  • Fuck Gregoire.

  • @VEVOxGTFO it made me so angry, what he did. asdfajsdfhkasfdhaksdf.

  • This song makes me cry so hard! I can't believe how bad the conditions must be for the inhabitants there, and I'm so glad we from Norway have this wonderful project where we give on day of our education to give poor children from other countries, this year to Rwanda, an education and a future. May everything good happen for those who suffer. <3

  • Working tomorrow to earn money for Rwanda! This song is so inspiring!

    Hugs from Norway!<3

  • @madelini3 same here (:

  • We use this song on our school project in Norway :)) OD

  • @unapuna123 Vi også, vi såå på filmen et par dager siden :)

  • I¨m From Norway. Og jeg og skolen vår gir alt for Rwanda <3

  • I never cry. But I cried when I watched Hotel Rwanda.

  • If your from Norway, then you give money to helping the little kids in Rwanda getting new schools that is Norway's year project!

  • @BattlescapeBoooM I'm From Norway. Vi gir alt for Rwanda <3

  • 16 people have no heart or soul...

  • Our world needs more extraordinary people like Mr. Paul Rusesabagina....

  • you know the worst part of this... is the fact that nobody would help them. they still refuse to help the people of rwanda. its sick and discusting because nobody will look into others for their help. everybody is always bussy working forthem selves. discusting.

  • I really ish I could go back in time and help at least some of these people. But I can't, and the whole world (especially the U.S. and France) will have to live in regret for doing absolutely nothing. I hate it so much.

  • God gives strength to help those who have none. Remember that America the next time this is happening and use your strength to do what is right ! Thats what we the tax payers want done with our military might ! Use it for good and for the protection of all of those who can not protect themselves. God bless you all !

  • Does anybody else cry wen they hear this song?....

  • Has anyone figured out the name of the tune the children sing?

  • /watch?v=zPpqHXTUTIk

  • @herschelkrustov just google the lyrics "Ni ryari izuba rizagaruka hejuru yacu Ni nde uzaricyeza" or Kinyarwandan folk songs.

  • i met Paul Rusesabagina!!

  • why would some 1 dislike such a deep song... lets help one and another and always pray to God for such crisis never to occur all over the world.

  • When the world closed its eyes, he opened his arms... I love it!

  • I thought I'd never find this song, it's beautiful and everyone else, shut the fuck up, no one wants to here about how you got so fucking emotional over the god damn movie. seriously no one gives a shit. I know it was just touching and a beautiful movie, but really, shut up

  • About the half the movie's power comes from this track.

  • im going to Rwanda in October this year to volunteer

  • @LuvAlyssaaL Congratulations!

  • @LuvAlyssaaL Who did you volunteer with ?

  • There are still such acts of violence in Rwanda for their tribe differences out of the public eye. I volunteered at a refugee camp.

Me: I bet your mother would be proud of you, where is she?

Abby: (5 years old): She's sleeping in Kigali and they said she won't wake up.

I just had to excuse myself and cry my guts out.

  • estou inteciso porque nao sei se hei-de por um gosto ou um nao gosto porque eu gosto muito deste filme mas so por o que se passou em ruanda apetece-me meter um não gosto, dito isto nao meto nada e parabens pelo "trailer"

  • Could of been stopped if clinton wasn't a pussy

  • @cdoll187 The US didn't interfere because of what happened in Somalia a year before. They didn't see a point to help if they were going to have their people getting killed. After what happened in Rwanda, Clinton regretted not helping Rwanda and when another genocide was going on in the Balkans, he got involved.

  • when i heard this music during the movie i cried

  • this song puts the shits up me

  • real chills...

  • It's saddening, all of the horrible things that have gone on or are going on in the world.

  • @cassyykillszombies

Vengeance and manipulation...that's what it's all about. It's those qualities that got Rwanda at such a state, the reason for the Cambodia genocide, reason for the iraq war and of course etc. It's an unending cycle until we come too late...

  • THANS FOR SHARING THIS VIDEO!

    we need more like this.

  • what is this song title..? I love this song!

  • i cant believe humans commited these unforgivable acts of genocide. Where is the compassion and mercy towards ur fellow human being? This video nd other videos on rwanda make me cry :'( i am not rwandan nor african but i will try my best to one day go to rwanda and do whatever to help rebuild

  • "ni ryari izuba rizagaruka hejuru yacu nduzi ari heza"

  • what a shitty place

  • Love the movie and this ost.. I can relate my country on the movie.. Why cant we just unite , we all both want to have peace and harmony..

  • @cyianite Africa is full of hatred people so yeah i don't think they will ever unite

  • @cyianite Africa is full of hatred people so yeah i don't think they will ever unite

Till they get a president who cares about the people and the military stops shooting civilans

  • @cyianite Africa is full of hatred people so yeah i don't think they will ever unite

Till they get a president who cares about the people and the military stops shooting civilans.

I might go to africa and stop the military their and save the people their

  • thumbs up if you replayed this more than once ! i know i did :D

  • @GtoDAfUkY0U24 I just started listening it on my sisters ipod i love this song i can't stop listening to it i at least listened to it a thousand times in one day i couldn't sleep till two or three because i got it on fast

  • we all cried or felt sad about this movie. but how many of us are doing anything about ppl in need? i hope some ppl on here are. that's the reason they make these movies. i dedicate my life to helping ppl bc of this movie. i hope it made others do the same and not just enjoy it and move on

  • outstanding movie. very sad tho

  • the beggining of this song makes me chill; the movie, when the priest arrives with lots of kids or when Paul and his family find their nieces, makes me cry; knowing that this was true and that the world i live in is the home for people like Paul makes me feel proud to be human. however, knowing that, at the same, the world i live in is also the home for people that make people like Paul exist, is disgusting and makes me hate this world at the same time.

  • I watched this today with my family. My dad told me, this gave him flash backs from when my family and I were in a war. I have experienced everything in the movies except for the hotel, we stayed in refugee camps. This movie is amazing.Paul Rusesabagina, is amazing. Each time the children would sing, my heart would open up and I would almost cry. This movie touches everyone, no matter who you are. When I grow up and become a doctor, I will help out Rwnada any way I can. As well as everyone else.

  • I hate how the UN just sat there and did nothing! NOBODY did anything. They only cared about getting their people out. Selfish.

  • I'm 16. Until this year when my teacher decided to show us this movie, I and my fellow students had no idea that this happened. Can you believe that? Every single year in history we go over the same things and usually get up to WW2 and stop. Next year will be my first year learning anything at all about Vietnam. We must learn about what's going on now and in recent years as well. There is a serious problem with the school system if events like this are not discussed.

  • @Kyreneth Students believe history is not important and won't affect their lives. Schools think English and Math are more important (I believe this though). That's the reason, although I believe on what you say.

  • @ODST14 i believe that history is very important cuz if nobody learned about history then we would just keep making the same mistakes. talking about the past prevents people from doing the exact same thing.

  • @CheerLuvr42695 I 100% agree with you and I tell other students that, but some never believe me.

  • @ODST14 well they should believe u cuz its true. history helps us learn from our past. if we never learned about history, then we would prolly have another world war or would prolly try attacking russia and blow up the whole planet.

  • @CheerLuvr42695 I say i'm going to africa and save those people i'm tired of people being hatred

  • @Kyreneth I agree. I didn't learn about the events of Rwanda until I was in college. For that class, I gave a presentation of the Armenian Genocide which occurred in 1915. It's tragic when genocide-the lives lost during them, I should say-is forgotten.

  • Does this song give anyone else chills?

  • @Sammy74136 yea it does

  • @Sammy74136 look up the lyrics of what the children of saying if u want chills.

  • @Sammy74136 no

  • @Sammy74136 me in a good way i love this song

  • 16 are Interahamwe militia.

  • i wish i could go back in time and stop or help the whole thing

  • @maytheforcebewithme1 you cant got back, but you can try to change what is happening now and, one more time, no one knows, like Darfur.

  • @maytheforcebewithme1 I love this song but i never watched the movie but i saw alot of sad things that happened in africa

  • @maytheforcebewithme1

The only way to have stopped it would be by force which would likely lead to despair aswell

  • @maytheforcebewithme1 Me, too. it's just so horrible. And the fact that no one helped is almost just as bad, in my opinion. :(

  • @maytheforcebewithme1 my family was in the rwandan genocide(i wasn't born yet) and you can stop this you can stop it from happening again and make sure that everyone knows what happened and can try to prevent it. Revenge and hate can only make things worse.

  • This is a really sad subject im not trying to be dis espectful but when i watched the movie the first thing that popped in my head was

    HUMANS CAN BE ASS'S

  • This movie was sad. People are just so cruel at times.

  • Until I studied the Rwandan genocide, I believe I would have reacted how it's said in the movie. "People will watch the news, say 'Oh that's terrible,' then go on and eat their dinners." This reminds us, when people need our help we need to do something. No matter how small we may feel, we always need to act.

  • 16 people have no heart

  • I hear this song and I get so sad...Then I I remember Shakira's Waka Waka song and get happy. Africa came along way.... :)

  • Waw its funny when watching this movie...

I watched many horror movies worse than saw hostel and so on.. Much worse irreversible, salo, murder set pieces, serbian film.

But this... This one turned my eyes into waterfalls!

And i agree Paul Rusesabagina should get a noble prize!

  • Lol!!! funniest vid evar!!! man those guys got pwned!!!

  • So sad...the whole world just stood by and watched...

  • the war and battles that go on in africa has gone for a long time. these date back to the conflict of the african tribes. there is not a way for them to see past each other. they are all people united in africa. the difference of the tribes was long then, there is to be peace now. with the UN working the two for peace, there is maybe other hope for all

  • One Word > Legendary!

Rwanda, keep looking the sky, i send all my luck to you!

  • @LostMrLobster oh my goodness those are prettyyyyy nice words..i agree with you=)..its a freakn sad and touching movie!!RWANDA RWANDA WHOOOO!!

  • yes..i picked up a candle and waved it right to left..igot sooooo much love for this song..i showed this video to my sisters and they waved candles too=)

  • the childrens part in the song is so cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 15 people have no compassion

  • Urara ajaryana

  • hello

  • Freedom & Peace for all!

  • OMG those kids voices are from heaven, it's so sad that African countries are torn up, so many killings ~(>_<)~ All because the white left them in that state :(

  • bone chilling in the beginning

  • If America is the United States of America, then why cant Africa become the United States of Africa?

  • Can someone do a dubstep remix of this songgg

  • @calvinblinkee i was going to try ages ago but i couldn't find an accapella =[

  • @TheyCallMePompins Ooo haha. I think you can still mix around with this track and eventually make a dubstep remix? I don't have any skills to do that it but just thinking maybe it could work.

  • @calvinblinkee I could give it a try, im not great at it myself but its rather easy once you know what your doing. I could try separate the voices from the beat if I can find the right program, if that dont work I could just try doing something over the track :P anyway if I do give it a try ill let you know .

  • in this film the french american troops etc... weren't aloud to shoot, like this if you would of shot the crap out of the tutsie's!

  • @MrFilipinoHD i think you meant the hutu mobs in the movie.

  • @MrFilipinoHD You mean the Hutu's, the Tutsi's were the ones being persecuted.

  • Today is the anniversary of the beginning of this horrific event. let us have a moment of silence for them sometime today.

    4/7/11

  • love da movie!!

  • Whydidn'tt England, America etc go and help?

  • @samtv5 I'm an American. I'll answer this truthfully.

    A) Rwanda has NOTHING the US government wants.

    B) The US government would not have benefited from helping Rwanda

    C) We were in the middle of finishing the Gulf War.

I wish the US would have helped...believe me. I was too young to understand, but now I do. And I wish I could have done something back then. I was only 8 when this even began.

  • @samtv5 Because there is no oil or other raw materials. The West didn't have any interests in Rwanda (unlike Libya for example)... As simple as that

  • 15 people just dont know nothing about music.

hope atrocities like these wont take place anymore in this world...

  • @n111s atrocities like this still happen in Africa today. The main problem is that many are ignorant and uneducated and the Governments are corrupt

  • @emohatred of course they do. thats why i said i hope ^^ and it's not only africa, racism is like a worldwide influence

  • @emohatred We are living in a dream world...I wish there was something we could do...

  • Ruanda <3

  • @EminemSwitzerland *Rwanda

  • hotel rwanda was 1 of the best movies i ever saw make me cry everytime. wycleff n the children did a great job on this song.

  • @uniquebebe23 iAgreee <33

  • I wonder who would want to hurt this man with a gun, from his own country aswell.

  • I just a man who most likely provided weapons to Rwanda for the Hutu government that i couldn't live with myself knowing I helped in the genocide of so many innocent people. No amount of money in the world could ever get me to participate in what happened in Africa

  • fucking muslims

  • @ahmed337799 lol your name is ahmed haha

  • @MoSxyxnr24

yeah talk about self hate lol

  • I Hope He's Not Dead Because I Heard He's Shoot

Long Live Wyclef Jean And God Bless You

  • R I P Wyclef Jean

  • @Mr001alpa He's not dead... is he? No, I heard news about him helping Haiti a while ago.

  • @Mr001alpa

Wyclef Jean survived; he was discharged from the hospital after the bullet was removed from his hand. Minor injury in comparison to what could've happened, but I hope Jean's hand gets better.

  • @ReturnofFoxMcCloud

Good News And I Hope He's OK

  • @77TDN did you expect anything different from the UN? one of the most worst and most corrupt groups on the face of the planet...

  • @bondsie4 You forgot banks I'm afraid.

  • We're watching this video in our history class, sad that people can be so cruel. This world needs peace.

  • YOU HAVE TO BE ONE RACIST SOB...TO NOT LIKE THIS SONG...

EVEN IF YOU DO NOT LIKE THIS STYLE OF MUSIC..THE MESSAGE IS SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL...

I WISH I COULD DO SO MUCH MORE FOR THE INNOCENT PEOPLE..ESPECIALLY THE CHILDREN....HOPE WHEN JUDGMENT DAY COMES YOU HAVE LIVED YOUR LIFE RIGHT. I KNOW I AM TRY TO DO SO.

  • I hate feeling so helpless when something is going on in the world and a country needs help but your nation won't do anything about it. And when you ask other people to help you support that country, they will end up saying, "Why? We have our own problems to solve. We don't need anymore. They'll figure it out themselves." It's sad to know how heartless ppl are in this world but u know what they're saying is true and u hate it for agreeing with them eventually.

  • @halloween265 I feel that same way! We just sit around, and watch it happen. Just like what Joaquin Phoenix's character said in the movie, they will see the video of what happened, but will go on eating their dinners.

I just pray that I will not be like that, but yet again its hard trying to find a way to help. Good luck, I sure hope more people are like you. And have those same exact feelings, it may just help this world out. :)

  • It was embaracing wat the UNs didn't do to solve this issue, but overole a great movie nd song!!

  • I like this song u know there should be a day. Where they should play this song all day long and night long.

  • Awesome film!

  • I hated this movie, yet i loved it.

I know United States is the great nation, but come on

when will a president step up and say "fuck protecting the US, protect all those who need our help"

Bill Clinton even stepped up and apologizes saying we should of done more,

but it doesn't heal the wound...

  • @logisysmax20 America is a great country, but the government itself is by far one of the most corrupt and it only serves its own self interests.

  • @LordMalice6d9 America is not one of the most corrupt nation in the world, compared to the more than 190 countries. Many governments in Africa are very corrupt, so are some Latin American, and some Asian governments.

  • @LordMalice6d9 because it gets influenced by the zionist elite like a puppet that gets pivoted by the string

  • @logisysmax20 he can't say fuck protecting the US, the US have many country try to attack the US and all bill clinton was trying to stay neutrol.

  • @leafvillage0001 I dont mean like fuck the US, but we coulda done more. we can do more. All that money used for Obamacare could be used over there, but rather we have it even though it pisses everyone off? except the the extended age limit so that young adults can be on their parents healthcare a lil longer.

  • @logisysmax20 i mean but this happened a WHILE AGO..do not just turn blame to the current president for blame. this went on for YEARS...and all of American Presidents turned their back. But we'd be the first country to go and exploit minerals, oil, and stones.. you know.

Cannot make Obama the scapegoat really.
