The lift hill is amazingly steep. The trees have grown quite a bit since I was there, which obviously makes the ride a lot more fun. The hang time at the end of the first loop is way longer than anything I've experienced on a looping coaster.

If any of you guys have not been upside down on a coaster, this is a great beginner's ride for that. It's very small and so are the loops, but it is fun as hell! This was my first loop as well, and I will never forget me screaming "MY FIRST LOOP :D" on the first loop of the ride :]

This ride use to be a great ride back in the 80's; sadly it is a shell of its original self. The last time I rode it; the ride seemed so rundown and in need of maintenance, cleaning and a paint job that it was actually sad to ride it. Then there is the fact that after Paramount took ownership of the park in the early 90's, this ride seemed to loose most of its theming elements, such as the fog, the light tunnel and the rock formation around the 2nd loop. So sad to see it so rundown.

@patryksienko In the '70s when both parks were owned by Marriott they put twin coasters at each park. In the mid 80s Marriott sold both parks, the one in Illinois to Six Flags, the one in California to the City of Santa Clara, Cedar Fair then purchased the one in California in 2006.

this ride used to be called 'The Turn of the Century' before the 'The Demon'. The first two loops were'nt even there. It used to be just a couple of hills that made you go up and down before the corkscrew. That tells you how old I am!

I went on this today. It was SO fun. if you're afraid of going upside down, don't worry. It's not a big deal, really. I use to be SO freaked out about it, that was yesterday XD. Its rly not bad, especially if closed eyes, You can kind of notice when you do but it only feels kinda like your turning. The Corkscrew of the ride is awesome :)

@revenant3154 Yeah, I do the same thing. The roof of that rock is so low. I never put my hands up on this ride out of fear of breaking them. This coaster is old and rough and they need to scrap it for a new and better coaster.
