I think people underestimate the human race. We've been around - roughly - 202,012 years already without killing ourselves off. Yeah, the world we currently live in isn't the greatest and neither are the conditions, or the times. But doomsaying is simply a claim to importance, as are statements of disbelief in our desire to survive.
