Not really.

The Jackal realized that he can't stop the war with whatever means are at his disposal - instead, he thought, he can accelerate it. He started supplying both sides equally with weapons at minimal cost - the logic being, they will eventually kill themselves out.

This is also exactly what the player is doing - bringing destruction and death to both sides at the same time - note ALL missions involve damage to the other faction, not helping you current "employer".

I didn't slaughter for the money. I slaughtered because i was told to do so. Which is even mor frietening. So why did jackal start the war if he wants to end it so badly in the end. Sick of civillans dieing? Or is he try8ing to get africa noticed in the world?

He didn't start the war, he gave them guns when there already was the war. He intensified it purposefully in a big plan to finish the war once and for all.

He always was. Listen to his tapes. I actually was wondering why i had to kill hhim half way through the game. I must say though, that game turned me into a killer. I used to ask (why do i have to kill him), but no its just as if every one in that game who looks at me funny deservs a bullet in there head. IT was kinda scary to be honest.

Well for me I had the same kinda feeling. Except I got pissed that the militias were just fucking the country up. So I liked to wound them and leave them to die instead of straight out killing them

I knew they thoguth they didn't have any other choice but to fight for the milita. They had to make money some how. Some of them were even kdnapped as children and brain washed to fight for the "greater cause"

No. There is no Government. In the South it's controlled by Hizbul Islam and Al Shabaab. Then Puntland and the middle area is controlled by the Transitional Federal Government which basically thinks it's the government but it really doesn't have any real government power anymore. Then there's Somaliland which is where I'm from, which has a government and is a little under the USA safety scale, but it's still safe in terms of not getting shot or blown up. But it still has crime and shit.

@reidson2011 Same here. And btw some mission told you to force someone to do something for you you can spare them (though it's really few and most just whip their pistol and shoot once you lower your gun and that's your cue to put a bullet in their brain)....
