One of the few funky albums that came out that year was W.C. and the MAAD Circle's 'Curb Servin''. Everything elseseemed to be either whiny synth-laden Gangsta shit, inspired by Dre, Poppy Jiggy shit, inspired by Puffy, or Dark, atmospheric shit, inspired by Rza. I missedthe days of Funky/Jazzy loops. The style was later resurrected by J5 and Ugly Duckling etc.
