  • This one takes the biscuit!! It is really really great!.

The poor cat looks terrified though!.

    Thanks for sharing.

  • One of my favorites by Ms Stanley too!

  • "Flamin' Mamie" was composed by Paul Whiteman, "The King of Jazz", and Fred Rose in 1925. This was one of the big hits of 1925. There were many recordings of "Flamin' Mamie". The Coon Sanders Orchestra also recorded the song. "Flamin' Mamie" epitomizes the Roaring Twenties Jazz Age.

  • Thanks for the great information kingoma61. Come back and visit more.

  • Billy "Uke" Carpenter must have been a scream. I own the 78 of this but God knows where? Thanx for posting it. It's been a while. Best!

  • You are welcome. Thanks for visiting my channel.

  • I'll check out the rest of your postings soon. You're what I call a great Vodeo-do-er.(1920's fan) as am I. No other era like it!

  • Nothing like that 1920's sound.

  • At 3:00, it looks like she's choking that cat! Or is it a lemur?

  • Maybe it's both. Glad you are enjoying it. I have a number of uke pieces by Johnny Marvin and Uke Ike. If you have a request I will look to see if I have it or can just surprise you. BTW do you own a Johnny Marvin Uke? They were very popular during the 20's.

  • I don't. I have a Roy Smeck Harmony brand. But it's from the 50's/60's.

DO you have "Shanty in Old Shanty Town?" Any version would be great, but I'm especially interested in Tiny Hill's version. He was my mother's first cousin.

    Thanks for all your efforts!

  • I may have that song but not that version. Will dig through and see what I can find.

  • Thanks for posting this! I love it.

  • Great video ★★★★★!

  • Another brilliant one... thank you for the fabulous photographs!

  • Had to look up these 20's vamps to go with this piece. Glad you enjoyed it.
