They had laughter in series 6. And it wasn't canned - they filmed in front of audiences.

I liked this vid even more than the Craig Charles interview because Robert was able to say succinctly why the series worked on multiple levels and succeeded where none have done before, that is; while containing high comedy and yet great pathos and humanity in a science-fiction program. After the week previous that I just had, knowing that they're filming after all the false starts is the great news I needed to get over myself.....YEAH!!!!

Actually this was the first time they didn't have laughter... and they only used 'canned' laughter in series 7.

(My conclusion is Rimmer destroy the time drive in 6x06 (the last alive in the ship),in the last second, and themselves futures can't travel in time and try to kill the original crew of Red Dwarf. (and his final was similar to chapter white hole, all is forget)

Someone in the chapter say that is the crew of the future kill the crew of the present, both dies), then the explain of Lister in 7x01 is not good for me
