@lovedeliberate actually barrowman was raised in the US from the age of nine and was schooled in the US so i dont think he had a choice on his accent ,,, im sure if you spend your childhood and schooling speaking a certin way thats what you will be stuck with ,,, i dont think it was a choice

@lesterclaypool1 Yes, I know he was. He has said in interviews that he made a conscious choice to beat his bullies at their own game, so the American accent was definitely a choice. He still speaks with a Scottish accent when he's with his parents and siblings, but uses his American accent more often because that's what people know him as.
