  • what state?

  • mountain dew ftw

  • im not trying to be rude or intrusive but it is easier to put the water in the mre heater first and then out in the heat pouch, you can measure the water better because it doesn't get soaked up by the heat pouch first. and also, never point the pouch opening towards yourself, that water hurts lol

  • actually brother in hawaiian is kunane - if your speaking pidgin its Brada.

  • That kid looks like he needs some space pops....

  • Any liquid should start the heater. I've successfully used the heater at -25 degrees. On a cold day, it's best to overfill the heater to about the 4th bumper from the bottom, put the heater into the entree box and jam the side dish on the opposite side of the entree. Heats 2 at once while retaining the heat and reaching a higher temperature.

  • where cant i get an MRE?

  • @schutter0291 you can find them online or at your local Army Surplus store if they have them in stock and if there is a Military Surplus store around your area

  • If you was my daddy I'd BLOW MY FUCKIN' HEAD OFF!!!!

  • i still think its funny how on the directions it literally say prop it agains a rock or something

  • Why won't people ever understand? Sir and Ma'm are signs of someone showing respect for another, or also known as MANNERS.

  • You really dont need to use any spoons or forks for MRES. I always squeeze out my food when i do not have any utensils.

  • @KillerXify

most full MRE kits come with a Utensil

  • wait is it wierd if my mre just started whent i but water in it? and is it ok if i Have to fill it in the line?

  • is this the prequel to blair wich project??? do you hea the sizling corry? its a witch!!!! now gimme 20 pushups. lol!

  • Comment removed

  • im eating menu 14, pasta w/ alfredo sauce right now. Its weird man, doesnt taste like normal food.

  • @spiderpig85 chemical food ftw lol

  • You got some good kids.

  • i need one of those especially on mountain hiking trip!!

  • i call my mom mom and dad dad

  • hahahaa

  • MRE heater should be "under" the entree :D

Excellent vid, keep em coming :D

  • why you got to call your dad sir? is it like an american thing? or is he strict lol

  • SuperSososexy - its called manners.

  • where did u bought it? cause i want one & is it international?

  • @survivalistboards hey i agree that its called manners

  • are you trying to say because british people dont call there dads sir we got no manners?!!

  • It's actually a dominance, control issue on the part of the person being called sir, it isn't manners. It will build bad character if kids grow up thinking they're under someone else, as well as thinking your better better then somone.

P.s. im sure he can figure out how to work a mre by themselves without you lurking over telling him what to do. Your basically saying with actions that he can't do it himself. That will cause problems with believing in himself.

  • @47Indigo47

and where are you from? down here in the south, it is manners, and people like you who think they know everything get the crap beat out of them

  • @drfeelgoodfilms Which are the southern manners? Using "sir" or "beating the crap" out of someone different than you?

  • it is a hillbilly thing i went to visite my dad and i heard some kid say it to a store clark when i stop for gas and you hear alote of my daddy used to say bullshit george carlin talks about it too how they say that it like they live in the 50s like there better ways to so manners without all that yes sir bullshit even my dad hate that sir shit it shows kids are weak minded but they are american

  • @SuperSososexy i know! its a dad not a sergeant

  • @SuperSososexy dudes strict

  • 2:44-2:46 looks like shes giving a BJ lmao

  • lmao im in the army i cant stand mres i do notice alot of civi are like amazed by them all i can say is try eatin them for 9 weeks straight then you will learn to not like them

  • u got that absolutley correct

  • i love MRE's i wish i could eat those everyday insteaad of regular meals

  • Those things are awesome.

  • MRE's are rilly cool to eat makes u feel like ur a troop. i can get Free MRE's from my dad because he is in the air force

  • me too!

  • your son looks like hes 15

  • Nothing personal but he looks bored to shit.

  • how long do they take to cook

  • they usually take 10 to 15 minutes to FULLY cook.....some people get sick of waiting and eat it just warm not hot

  • is the apple maple oatmeal good?

  • it's alright.....not the best but it's good if you are really hungry

  • Where can you get MRE's? and how much are they?

  • Army/ Navy Surplus stores, outdoors supply stores, and online.

  • you can join the armed forces and steal them thats very common

  • this made me hungry ,good video :)

  • Can anyone tell me or send me a message on Youtube of where to get MREs or Canadian IMPs? cause i live in Canada so im not sure if I can get MREs

  • I bought a box of American MRE's at Hero Army Surplus in Oshawa Ontario a few months ago for a hundred bucks. He also had Canadian IMP's . He gets them from time to time, and unless you know him it'll cost you about $140 per box.

  • I love how on the MRE instructions, after you put water on the heater theres a picture of a rock, and the instructions state

    "Prop on ROCK OR SOMETHING"

    yay for simplicity.

  • you can get these at military surplus stores, right?

  • Correct.

I don't know why everyone complains about them, either. They taste quiet good.....As long as it's not chili macaroni....That shit is gross.

  • or the beef and macaroni

  • these are good right out of the bag cold..... i eat them cold.i have a stack of the heaters.........

  • thats sad your kids treat you like your an uncle or sumthing.they dont seem comfortable with you

  • he told them to be like that on camara

  • Where can i bur MRE's?

  • I can't believe some of the piss-poor attitude in some of these comments. If you armchair-elitist's think you've got something to prove, why don't you post a video response worth two cents. Unbelievable....people these days.....friggin pitiful!!

  • That comment was completely unnecessary. THEY'RE KIDS!!! They've got time to get into hiking and other forms of cardiovascular exercise to burn those calories. But I will warn anyone considering MRE's for food storage to WATCH THE CALORIES!!! MREs are military meals filled with combat calories (empty calories). The main meals are ok, but I'd look to freeze dried fruits and vegies for your side items.

  • Lololol. Yes they're still fat. And yes, MREs purposely are filled with calories to supply the need for soldiers. Lol. Any dumbass knows that.

  • @hrdknox200 - you must have fatass kids.

  • I don't have ANY kids. But if I did. I wouldn't give them MREs all the time either. I ate MREs all the time as a kid and I'm not obeese (SP?). I was in the woods all the time playing army. It's important to teach children proper eating discipline and excercise and to force them to get out from in front of the TV. But of course, you're probably some pasty white adolecent who spends every waking hour in front of the computer.

  • Heh, thanks for agreeing with me. I suppose their is no point in my arguing your comment on me, because you wouldn't believe me anyways. Have a good one.

  • its hydrogen gas not smoke

  • ok NOT TO BE DISTUCTING but useing your own urin does work i did try it.

  • where do you get MRE's

  • army serpuls

  • cool. the closest one to my house is like 35 minutes away

  • interesting

  • reply to southern661 please i want to know

  • what ever happened to the good days where rations had cigarettes and coffe?

  • MRE's have coffee, but no cigs. Cigarettes were last issued to troops via C-Rations in 1972 or 73. Basically, it was being phased out for obvious health reasons and the program ended with the Vietnam War.

  • Where do you get MREs

  • how do you cook the side dishes, just put them in the same pouch after you take the meal out or what?

  • yep, the "pouch" is reusable up to 2-3 times

  • quick question, would it be ok to use water from a river or a creek to heat the MRE since the water doesnt touch the food?

  • I dont see why not. The heater gets hot enough to turn the water into steam. This should be hot enough to kill bacteria.

  • cool, thanks! keep the vids commin

  • @survivalistboards hey about your comment on the question about using creek or stream water it wouldnt matter because the water never touches the food only the package... nice video.

  • what about urine?

  • interesting question i dont know

  • @lmyhoosier i know you posted this questio over 2 years ago. But, i'd like to tell you that because the MRE main meal is water proof(everthing is in a MRE) i could fill it with fithy water any the main meal would be perfectly fine. Just thought I'd let you know!

  • It's best to put the MRE at a 45 degree angle. I've never seen any meals that don't come in the box, which as you said insulates it. The MRE is a good food for a high exertion situation(when you need lots of calories), but they are designed to induce constipation, and are too heavy to carry enough of in the field. They have great supplies included though(matches toilet paper, tobasco etc).

  • my friends dad was in the national guard and we ate MREs once i think it all depends on what kind of MREs you have some are just

    bla

  • where can you get mre's?

  • Check the website

  • @survivalistboards i went on your website but were can i buy the mres i even looked at the store it just has posts... please respond.

  • @skater4ev615 - there is a section of the forum for members to post when they are looking for something - its the looking for / want to buy section.

  • @survivalistboards i still cant find it but thank you

  • Have you ever caught a rabbit with a rope snare trap? I have a survivalist book and it tells you how to set traps. I like to camp a lot! :)

  • Hello! Love your videos. I'd save the MRE's for a last resort. They plug you up and have way too many chemicals and calories for a normal human! You can make your own portable foods with a dehydrator and a vac sealer. If you look into the MRE some more, you will probably come to the same conclusion as I did. A last resort!

    Peace!

  • Great video, you need to go step by step as in this video, it avoids many mistakes later on.
