Yea really, Forza is the clostest you can get to real drifting in a game. I had a drift team on there TEAM ANGLE" But my peice of chit xbox360 broke like 3 times so i got a ps3, I've been drifting if forza for about 2 years, I never get bored of it

Drifting requires a RWD vehicle. The only reason drifting works from AWD is because you send power to the rear. No power to the rear wheels, not drifting. In FWD cars, what you might this is drifting is really not. As you begin to slide, power to the front wheels pulls the car. Rear wheels are dragging, not drifting. Make sense?

Also for you FWD people. FWD implies not sports car. It is simply by design. RWD is inspired by animals. Power in the back, steering and suspension in the front.

you can hold it for a bit but not a true drift. FWD drifts are just power slides but ive seen some impressive ones done. when i was in highschool there was a kid with a 96 FWD golf that could do a pretty good RWD drift imitation. i couldnt drift back then since my ebrake was busted FTL

just to correct "power slides "are only possible in rwd machines,when you use the engine power to make the car keep the slide.

in fwd cars you use weight transfer and momentum,you can use the same this system to drift low power machines like an mx5.

in a awd machine you can use bove ways.

but in a fwd car powerslides are impossible.

easiest way to drift a stick car is power over, clutch kick, or Ebrake. automatic you can Ebrake or power over.

you cannot drift a FWD car, to drift you need the rear wheel spinning and having drive constantly, but with no grip which is how you slide. on a FWD car you just drag the rear wheels making it useless

AWD is a bit better but really RWD is needed

no u can use ANY RWD is easier then FWD or AWD.. Manual drifting simple.. Low gear pop the cluctch hit the handbreak useing steeringwheel to guide. Autos are just Handbreak accelerate and controle

no because if you have an automatic car it downshifts when you e-brake causing a regain of traction. you can only do a controlled powerslide with an automatic car. and FWD cannot drift either in the true definition of the word because to drift you have to be driven by the rear wheel. again, only powersliding.

Correct indeed that is the reason why its bad. When I made the original video back in like 2003/2004 I was pretty much so I was using my sis 1.2MP camera on a tripod infront of the tv to record this then I would use Windows Movie Maker 1 on a 1998 hewlit packard to encode the video to mpeg. And we know how crappy that video editing software is lol. I've got a better quality version of the first video if you would like to see.
