You're adding too much importance to the left hand. Soften it down at bit, as it is only supposed to be company to the voice (the right hand).

I don't think he is, it's probably just because he's using a shotty camera microphone which is placed at the bass end of the piano, picking up the left hands part more. Just a thought, nice playing otherwise :)

oh my gosh. i want to get a kawai so badly.

the piano we have is extremely old and so out of tune that i have to change some of my notes to flats because they sound better than what the sheet music says. it's so frustrating!

i'm learning to play Dawn right now though. it's great! and marvelous job!

i would just say more pedal for that dreamy effect. but also the camera is on the piano and is picking that up more distinctly. at around 50 seconds its noticiable. but otherwise beautiful!!
