Hey Great way you put all of this together. The graphics keep the viewer interested and the text keeps info pertinent but at a minimum. History should be taught this way in Public school. I mean the format is a great learning tool approach. It would make studying History fun. The way it should be.

@Strategos300 youv made a nice video. but there are some wrong information too. 1) the ottoman army was 140.000 not 200.000. 2) the ottoman turks did not try to spread islam they just tried to expand their empire like they did in the middle east and north africa and eastern asia. if look at the history of bosnia in wikipedia you can see the message the ottoman sultan mehmet the conquerer send out to the people of bosnia ( that they were free to keep their religion)

@1996Yaren Thanks for the well-written comment. 1) Yes you are slighty correct. However there are alot of variations in this area. Some say it was 300 000 men. However I believe that the ENTIRE army was on 250 000, designed for the campaign, but the ones who fought at Vienna was around 150 000 men. Still an enormous achievement by the Poles and Germans. 2) Yes once more you are correct, however I believe that one of the Main goals was to expand Islam as well as expand the empire.

@judomagyar Actually there were many Hungarian soldiers on the Ottoman army. Imre Thököly fought with the Ottoman army during the second siege of Vienna. Together with that, I remind you it was the Ottomans who helped Francis II Rákóczi during his revolt against the Habsburgs,many Hungarians preferred the Ottoman rule. Instead of telling stupid hate stories you better read some history first and do not believe everything written on 'Egri csillagok', it is only a book of nationalist propaganda.

@aporia82 Thokoly was the ruler of Transylvania a mostly protestant dependent state, not occupied but payed taxes to the Sultan. There were no turkish armies stationed in Transylvania. I am talking bout the suffring of the hungarians under direct turkish rule.

After these Ottomans were kicked out, the area they left behind was so depopulated that german slovak, serb etc.. people were settled there to work the land.
