Also Ocarina of Time and Super Mario 64 ALWAYS should be top two, in order of personal preference. IMO the greatest N64 game of all time was hands down Ocarina of Time. I actually played through it a few months ago, it STILL entertains me.

Banjo Kazooie is number 1 because it was the best original idea by Nintendo for the N64. the other games are great, but there are numerous mario and link games. Banjo Kazooie had all original ideas and was fantastic. it is #1 for originality and epicness.

I'm curious what your reasons are for those choices. This is not an attack on you. I look at OOT and see: fun and varied gameplay, epic story, character development, puzzles. SSB is a great fighting game but thats all. No story, no puzzles, its just way too simple of a game for it to be on par with OOT. So why are they equal in your opinion?

@DBXguy Nah, Majora's Mask is far more superior than Ocarina. I'll admit Ocarina was awesome, but Majora's Mask had a much better feel with all the emotion and darkness to the plot. Remember the conversation between Romani and Cremia on the final day or the Kafei and Anju side quest. deep stuff right there.

@mbcrazed What do you mean Majora's Mask is short. If you look at the average let's play, oot gets around 80 parts, and Majora's Mask gets around 95. There may be only 4 dungeons, but it takes so long to get to them, that it's practically equal to 10 dungeons. There are also countless side quests that you could do. Yes, oot is long, but you have no right to say that Majora's Mask is short.

Man, I love Banjo-Kazooie and Starfox. Nintendo 64 is just great. Zelda games are great as well. But Goldeneye is such a big game too and, in my opinion, Conker's Bad Fur Day should be there too. Oh, and I simply hate Super Mario 64. The game is nice, Mario is nice and everything, but the gameplay sucks, comparing to great ones of the same genre, like Banjo.

Im not trying to modify your personal opinion, but from my understandings of all N64 games, The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of time (Shown as #6) should be within the top 2 AT LEAST. Ocarina of time was the first game to use the "target lock" system and they were one of the first to use those types of graphics. A lot of other N64 Games are vividly based off of OOT's operating system. I believe that everybody could agree that The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of time is revolutionary in video games.
