  • Cool vid check out my mega mixed amphibian tank vid 

  • Do you have to keep them in pairs or small groups? I would only like to keep one (I like to keep track of names and stuff) so what's the smallest tank I could buy for ti?

  • @CherubHorse You don't have to keep them in groups or pairs, but you can if you want too with these guys. Amphibians are generally solitary animals (some exceptions) but you should never put a really small one (juvenile) and a really big one (adult) together as the adult might cannibalize or hurt the smaller one. For one newt (or two), a ten gallon tank would be the smallest I'd go with. I highly recommend researching any animal you intend to buy.

  • did you get this from the pet store? because the ones i bought from the pet store recently all died. and i did my research on how to take care of them and all, so it wasn't my fault in case you were wondering

  • I had two newt and they fight a lot I sold them and got mollys

  • how much was this?

  • Aw, I love him. We have a photo of our Tiu in exactly the same kind of pose hanging on to a waterplant.

  • So cute ^_^

  • What do you feed it?

  • I have a Question. today i went out and bought to young newts to the pet store. Cass is about 4inches long And Koda is about 5Inches long, will the grow any bigger?

  • i have 2

  • I have 2 but they hate water. They are always out of the water, and when they get there they ran away emediatly... I don´t know if it is the temperature, but I think it´s fine... they are eating well, in fact the only 2 minuts, or so, they are in water for all the day is when I give them food...

  • @TheDiogoFixe are they juvies? if so that's normal, otherwise check your water peramiters - flow of your filter ect.

  • awwww....

  • What's that plant in the bckground, please reply!

  • How big was this newt at the time?

  • I'm making a terrarium with 2-3 newts including a land area and a deep water area as seen here. Would you recommend buying a reptile or fish tank, and an acrylic or glass tank. Also, I would like to include several plants in my setup, would you recommend live or plastic plants?

  • @gomashedpotatoes I have my 3 newts in a 10gal glass fish tank with fake plants if that helps

  • there is to much waterstorm!!!!

    they dident like that!!

  • How deep should the water be for juvenile Chinese fire belly newts?

He's only about 1.5 inches long, help would be appreciated!

  • @Zacattackzak mine is about 6 in, just enough for them to reach the top for air quickly while still having swimming space

  • fresh or warm water? please

  • Fresh water.

  • @Fantasticlist 15-20°c, NOT above 23°

  • @Fantasticlist fresh, room temperature

  • do they need a filter plz help

  • @coltron5 a filter definitely helps keep it clean

  • its so cute <3

  • i have 2 but they're too lazy

  • So, they spend most of their time in water?

  • tooo adorable!....i have 2 oregon newts

  • i want one but i cant buy in the local pet store

  • lol i was wondering what was happening then i noticed that it was in water lol

  • i have one (i think) is there any way to verify it is a firebelly newt? it is the same size as yours, has a firebelly, BUT... it doesnt have those bumps all over it. if it isnt a firebelly newt what is it?

  • it's probably a chinese fire belly newt then

  • It ish :)

  • wheres da fire? O.0

  • In mah pants

  • 0:10-0:16 Aaaah im fallinggg~ lol

  • Newts get along with plecos right?

If I find a newt, I don't want to have it eaten becuase the turtle got pissed off at it for bugging pleco.

  • you never mix species

  • Wow his belly is so dark compared to my guys.

  • do you have a specific temperature for the fire belly newt because i have the same one

  • They should be kept at room temperature, not heated like tropical fish. 15-20 degrees C is fine.

  • @MoemYouT Can you house them with goldfish other coldwater fish and also how often do you need to clean them out?

  • Fire bellied newts prefer cooler temperatures of around 68-72 degrees Fahrenheit. Try to keep it just slightly under room temperature in your setup.

  • kool newt, but i would suggest you put a rock a a piece of slate in front of the pouring water as fire belly newts do not live in fast streams

  • Thanks, but there is no pouring water in this setup.

  • @MoemYouT but there is a stream in the background that can stress the newt what is not healthy ;)

  • where did u buy ur newt ??? thx.... please rite back!

  • It wouldn't help. The store is half a planet away from you. K thx bai.

  • @blue6diamond Fintastic.us.....thats the wedsite....the store is in charlotte North carolina.....only $7.99
