You may not know this but since it came with a detachable power cord you could have saved the cord for use on a radio of yours that might not have a cord.
Your Wal-Mart sells Lakewood box fans? That's different from most parts of the country. The Wal-Marts in my area (Houston, Texas) basically sell only Galaxy box fans.

I love Emerson's cheap box fan videos. They are so funny and it revieles every single gimmick they use. On the box it says that the fan is high performance because of the wind ring which is a total gimmick when actualy the wind ring is to keep the blades from bending back because they are so "thin," and they have hardly any pitch at all.
You should have not done that. This was the best highest quality most powerful highly painted fan ever built and it has such strong thrust.
