The L69 305 H.O, wasnt offered until 1983, and only with a 5-speed trans. The only year for an L69/auto combo was 1984. All you have is the 145hp LG4 305. A true rat in every sense of the word....of course they all were!

more than likely 350 not original by far c ross fire is gone 305 maybe with small lift cam more than likely 350 with cam

unless u changed the engine it shouldn't be a 305 H.O. if the cars a 1982 because the 305 H.O. or L69 didnt come out until 1983 not being a smart ass or anything i have a 1984 Z28 305 H.O. but switched it out for a 350 bored 60 thousands

This car is definitely a project in the works!, I would rebuild this entire car, especially that 305 H.O., maybe bore/stroke the block a bit, drop in a forged crank & rods depending on how much bore & stroke I do to the block, mildly port the stock heads & intake, install a cam with some lift, rebuild that Q-Jet carburetor & definitely keep the cold air induction to slam that Q-Jet with cold air in the summer months, put a true dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers & watch how it'll sound!

I don't suggest You to deal with carbs.

My camaro after engine rebuild got xe264 cam. I messed 1 month on rebuilding and tuning ccc Q-jet nothing reasonable reached. than I bought Holley 670 cfm tbi unit on ebay for 120$, Fuel pump on summit for 79$ and Megasquirt - II kit for 250$. After 1st startup on fuel injection I decided that carb sux.

Thanks, I see the potential in real American Muscle, just cuz it's old & needs a paint job or body work & complete engine rebuild doesn't mean it should be thrown away, the aftermarket is full of parts for these old hot rods, even if they're late model, smog era cars, it takes some money, but it's worth it, cuz when you turn that old wreck into a beast, you'll be so rewarded with the gains & benefits of your work, trust me, I just installed an ENTIRE front suspension on my 84 Monte Carlo...

definitely. i have yet to drive mine. or even start it. are you sticking with the original ground effects? i had some trouble mating my tranny to the motor cause i didnt have a clutch alignment tool, be sure to pick one of those up lol.

@rebuiltsolutions you could get a pretty beastly 305 i forget the hp numbers and a built 305 is just pretty dam bad ass they have godly torque and very good throttle response dont dis the 305 if takin care of there reliable i gota buddy with an 86 iroc with 305 tpi has over 700000 miles on it an nothing has ever gone wrong doesnt even smoke or leak or use any oil an runs like its new
